OMG. It's a miracle.
OMG. OMG. OMG. It worked, my pool is like new again. This $ 27 product saved me an unnecessary $8000 cost for pool resurfacing that was advised by a pool care person. For the last 3 years I watched in sadness and despair my pool getting yellow stains that does not scrub off and kept on enlarging slowly until it covered the whole surface, bottom and walls. I spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars buying all kinds of yellow stain treatment and chlorine shocks from Amazon as well as local pinch a penny store who told along with a pool care person who came to see it that my pool is 25 years old and needs to be redone. I saw this ascorbic acid idea on YouTube and decided to try it as a last resort. I ordered a smaller 3.25 lbs size to avoid another waste of money on a large tub. I used about half of it in my 10,000 gallons pool at about 5:00 pm and ran the circulation overnight. I woke up in the next morning and the stains completely disappeared on their own, no scrubbing needed or done. It's a miracle.

GET RID OF POOL STAINS WITHOUT ANY SCRUBBING! MAGIC.
ABSOLUTE MAGIC! We have a liner pool and have been trying to get rid of stubborn stains on the bottom for the past 18 months. Our professional pool company couldn't get rid of them. We scrubbed to no avail. Read up on this product and decided to try it. The stains were gone in FIVE MINUTES! No scrubbing. Drop it in and let the stains vanish. NOTE: This product does take away any chlorine. We simply added shock and the pool went right back into perfect balance. if you don't add the shock you will end up with algae blooms. Our pool looks brand new! The pool is entirely free of stains. Haven't taken the final picture.

Ionizer/Salt Above Ground Pool EXTREME Stains on Vinyl floor.
SOLVED !!! (Raining when I took the picture) I had Huge brown/yellowish/gold/copper/black stains all over the floor of my vinyl pool liner with clear balance water that would not budge with brushing or scrubbing. Covering the bottom of the pool mostly in the common walking areas. My experience was not an instant dissolving like the videos on the internet. In fact, it took 12-16 hours before noticing it was even working. After 48 hours my Liner inside my Ionizer/Salt Pool LOOKED BRAND NEW !!! WOW !!! (9yr old pool). 1. Unplug Ionizer/Chlorine generator. Turn off Pump for 8 hours to stop all water movement. 2. Pour in around the edges and wait 2-8 hours, then turn pump on. 3. Vacuum and backwash after 24 hours and 48 hours. (Mine looked brand new at this point) 4. Shock your pool. Turn on Ionizer/Chlorine generator system. Worth EVERY PENNY of my $50. Amazing Job. I was very skeptical before I used it.

Amazing bargain!
I take ~3g of Vitamin C crystals buffered with bicarbonate of soda (baking soda) every morning and every evening. Ratio 4:1, which I THINK follows Pauline's practice (though I can't find the reference now). I take quite a bit more when I think I'm infected with a virus, but that doesn't happen very often. I've never bought a whole gallon (8 pounds) at a time before, but the price was right and the quality seems fine. It might last me close to 2 years, which will take me past the Best Before date, but I've repackaged it in smaller ziploc bags in our cool basement, and I expect it to be good to the last gram. The bucket is a pain to open. Literally. With a pull tab that takes more force to break than my thumb could deliver. Fortunately I reached for my little multitool before I hurt myself and it opened fine. As I was scooping out some of the powder into smaller containers (from previous bulk C purchases), I thought I had hit a big lump, but it was a packet of dessicant! No lumps AFAICS. :-) My only complaint is that the powder is a bit FINER than I like. Not a big deal, but after I spoon out my ~3g with a 1/2t=2.5g measuring spoon, the spoon is covered with fine C powder, like powdered sugar. My favorite bulk C is a bit coarse, and leaves the spoon clean, like ordinary granulated sugar. But that's a small problem, and I'd be happy to buy this again when I finally finish this big batch. :-)

Worked like a magic eraser!
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I was struggling with a organic stain in my pool. I didn't open my pool last year and when I opened it this year it had lots of leaves in it. Their was some holes on my cover. I have tried different products that you get at a pool store. None worked for the walls of the pool. I have spent hundreds of dollars trying to get the stains removed. I came across this product and I was blown away!! It took all the stains out like an magic eraser!! I put some powder in a skimmer sock and rubbed the vinyl wall and as soon as the vitamin C touched the vinyl it instantly came out!!!! You will not be disappointed!

Earthborn Elements: Powdered Vitamin C: Works great to remove iron/rust stains from pool
I was skeptical this would work, and paying $63 for a bucket of powder felt odd, however, Vitamin-C tablets worked so it was worth a shot. I was also afraid that this powder would instantly dissolve in the water and have no real effect, so I thought about putting the powder in nylons or socks. Not needed. I was wrong; the risk was worth it. I decided to try this between storms (thus all the leaves in the pool) when I had to shut off my pump to vacuum. I have a 30,000 gallon in-ground pool with a vinyl liner, on a well. Slowly, iron/rust was staining the liner. I used a clean laundry detergent cup and walked around the pool, sprinkling the powder against the pool wall, and then out into the middle. The powder dissipated (not dissolved) slowly, and instantly neutralized the iron stains. My liner was back to white. I posted a video that does not do justice to this science experiment. Unfortunately, I did not have enough powder to finish the pool (the bucket was smaller than I anticipated from the photo) but I can hit those areas with tablets again. I cannot comment on taste; I used this strictly for fixing my iron stains. The bucket was easy to open by ripping the pull strip around the lid. The lid then came easily off. The powder did not irritate my skin. Overall, I was very impressed with this product. I paid $62.99 on 20200629, which was the best price I could find for the quantity.
