Ajinomoto Monosodium Glutamate 500g

I have heard from Uncle Roger that MSG is best thing to exist in the ingredients cabinet, but I was skeptical. BOY was I wrong, this thing bring the flavours in my dishes up to another level! And at last I can make the proper take out fried rice. 10/10 would recommend!

Don't listen to people who swear this stuff gives you cancer and other health problems as they are talking a load of rubbish.Yes, this stuff isn't a health source and has been known to contribute to weight gain but that's only when massive amounts are consumed. People who say they never will eat this stuff clearly have no idea what they are eating when they dine out or eat take away food as it's more than likely MSG will be in their meal.I would say be careful with the amount you add to your cooking as I put a little bit too much in my pizza dough one time and it gave it a really weight taste. Not the MSG's fault, it was mine for using way too much.For the price you pay you get a lot for your money and it will last you a long time even if you cook with it every day, you could probably get a good 3-6 month life span out of it. For me, I only use it once a week so it'll last me well over a year.

MSG is a great addition to any meal to add a depth of flavour. Great quantity and quick delivery. Only issue is that once opened, the bag is rather flimsy so I transferred the contents to a zip lock bag to prevent spillage - but this is easily avoided.

Have been using this moderately for a few months now - improves food flavour and MSG syndrome has now been largely debunked.MSG is naturally occuring in tomatoes and even breast milk - according to Food Unwrapped on TV. Seems useful and safe to use.PS Table salt is 40% sodium by mass, MSG only 20% sodium. So if a part replacement for salt - it could be healthy.

I bought this product with some trepidation because we've all heard the scare stories about MSG and how it is bad for you.Well after some research on the internet I decided to take the plunge and buy some to use in my cooking " What a revelation " It totally transformed the flavour of my food.Used sparingly it enhances the flavour of savoury food and takes it to another dimension I have been using it in my cooking for many months now and ......well I'm still here.So all I can say to all you amateur cooks out there who haven't tried MSG before give it a go you'll be pleasantly surprised by the results.

You try your best to cook Asian food at home, you try to stick to traditional recipes and good quality ingredients. Still, something is missing. This is what is missing! Great product and great flavour, a couple of teaspoons for a full wok is enough.Great service, delivery was fast.
