This book is book fire. Hawke & Cole are everything 🔥🔥From the very moment Cole met Hawke, I could feel their chemistry. I was immediately hooked & the build up was so intense! I was cheering for Hawke from the get go, this book gave me all the feels. It was such a sexy read..

Actually really enjoyed this. Didn't think I would but I found it easy to read and really disliked some characters - as intended. Only thing I didn't like was hawke in the shower and the party bit towards the end.. just felt very toxic baby ish.

I just finished reading hawke.It is not a dark romance book. I don't know why they like to take everything as dark. It is just a romance book with a main male character Hawke as an ex convict.I don't have triggers but i now i know if there is prolonged cheating in a book i dont like the book or the characters. Spoilers below.Nicole (fmc) is in a relationship with Patrick when Hawke moves in fresh out of jail. From 30% in she sleeps with hawke while in a relationship and justify it because Patrick is bad in bed and doesnt ask how her days is.She is clearly unhappy in the relationship. Maybe cause i been cheated on the past or maybe cause im in my 30s and mature.But to me it straight communication and / or end the relationship. Instead they making sexual comments to each other infront of patrick in which i assume the author wanted us to laugh at.And for the entire length of the book they had affair and fall in love..They had sex and then the same night or day after she sleeping with her boyfriend.I love reverse harms etc.But i can say i dont like cheating. And i think i found my trigger lol. I did not mind the cheating but i think it was the head games, back and forth with her bf. Gaslighting him.Sorry for the rant.Lets discuss if you read 📚 it below.

It’s been a while since I have found a story that has really gripped me fully and made me feel. The intense emotional connection between Hawke and Cole is one that I’ve not read in a long while. This is so much more than just a typical bad boy gets the girl storyline. It’s heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time. Jescie Hall takes her time dropping hints from the get go that these characters have a troubled past and they aren’t going to be able to achieve anything fast; they are going to have to suffer before they can win and be the people they are meant to be.

Such an amazing read. I’m sure we can all agree with F*** you Patrick 🤣.Your heart brakes for Hawke when you start finding out about his past, the way Coles character grows throughout is perfect.They are perfect for one another. The spice is perfect also.

I did enjoy this book but I don’t get the wild hype with it. The plot was really good and only became obvious once it basically gets revealed. I’m not usually one for a cheating trope but I loved Cole and hawke and they deffo belong together. I did not feel bad for Patrick at all while he’s oblivious to the cheating and I’m glad Cole found someone so much better than him in hawke. Patrick was vile from the jump and he made me sick. His basic treatment of Cole was just plain nasty. I liked Cole but wished she would have such Patrick up sooner but it’s clear why she couldn’t until she had no choice but to. Hawke my poor lil heart broke for he was treated and his complete lack of confidence. He was a really good character and I’m so glad he chased Cole and made her see sense. Loved the way he loved on her and built her up. Book was good and I would recommend. P.s bonus scene at the end was deffo a great read

Adore this author and everything about this book!! Hawke is the PERFECT MMC and this storyline is so relatable!!I don’t want to spoil anything for anyone, so I’ll keep it sweet. We hate Patrick, we love Hawke, we worship Jescie, read the damn book.LY baiiiiii

There were parts of this book I enjoyed. I’ve not come across many cheating books and I know a lot of people don’t like them but I really don’t mind. So much of the stuff we read and accept in romances would be toxic AF in real life so why should cheating be any different?! The characters were quite good. Cole seemed a little stereotyped but Hawke was refreshingly emotional as the book progresses. The sexual tension was built brilliantly and the smut was hot!Some of the writing was really very good and easy and enjoyable to read. The first half of the book was engaging and going so well. However, this book could have been about 100 pages shorter. There was so much waffling on about how incredible and world changing their love was and I ended up just skimming the last few chapters in order to make it to the end. I easily could have just given up by that point. The word ‘wince’ is used excessively and inaccurately throughout the book and it really started to grate on me! There were also a few instances of the wrong word being used, a word that sounds similar but doesn’t mean the same. Ironic that this book is about an editor when it really needs a good editor itself!When everything comes to its conclusion and certain events slot into place it all felt a little contrived and overly convenient. So much build up throughout the entire book and then suddenly wham, bam, problem solved.A book of two halves and sadly only the first half is really worth reading.

Amazing book. The story line isn’t slow and doesn’t drag on at all. The story has heart and raw emotion and lots of hot episodes

Mesmo enredo de intenso demais igual ao kellan e a Keela. Moram na mesma casa por causa do namorado da protagonista e namorado ausente e babaca. Aproximado o Hawke da protagonista claro que tem a química e Hawke é lindo. É bom mais mesmo enredo do livro q já tinha lido antes. Leiam

I love cam and Hawke so much. This story was so amazing I recommend it to every single person I talk to and am not ashamed. Jescies writing is phenomenal this book had an amazing plot, perfect spice and two of my favorite main characters!
