Perfect Primer for Future Agents
I just received my book in the mail today, and because it is brief and to the point, I finished it rather quickly. I just passed the pre-license course and sent everything in. I was thinking about what I could do in the meantime, to get a running start, so when I was perusing the real estate books, I stumbled on this valuable little nugget. I have spent the better part of my career in marketing positions. So, for me it was enough information to give me food for thought and ideas for making a to-do list. Since I have never specifically been in a SALES position, I found the information on how to build contacts and get a running start extremely valuable. Some of the other reviews are harsh, due to the books brevity, but I really think it depends on how much information you need. If you are starting completely from scratch, in terms of sales and marketing, you probably need a class or a big thick text book, but you aren't going to get that for $5.95. For me it was perfect and if you have a basic idea of how sales and marketing works and you just need a little direction on how to get a jumpstart while your waiting to get licensed, this is a perfect little read!

A quick read with valuable information you will be glad to know before you get your license
I read this book in less than 30 minutes and the information I received was so helpful. This book reaffirmed my decision to become a real estate agent. It doesn’t make outrageous claims of making millions immediately or becoming a real estate Rock-star. It answers some of the questions that I have about their first year in the real estate business. I was pleasantly surprised to have already completed a couple of actions mentioned in the book. The most appealing thing about this book is how the 13 actions listed in the book are simplified in easy to understand information. I have no doubt these actions will add real value to my business. It is a good foundation of information to start my real estate career. I’m more motivated than ever to put in the work and get my real estate career off the ground. I’m going to order more copies to give as gifts to my future sales agents.

Awesome quick-read full of great advice
I opened the book up as the topic is very relatable at the moment. I been laying on me bed an hour, I fully finished the book and took the notes it wanted me to. I feel more motivated than ever and have a much better (and difficult) plan ahead of me. Katherine was a great author, no bs in there, just good and throng advice. She even ended the book saying how much she’d appreciate anyone reaching out with questions or a success story etc, and if she does in fact reply to many of them, A+ of an author in my book. Give it a read, you can’t regret it.

Laying the groundwork for real estate success before you are licensed
Most guides to real estate success focus on how to start being successful when you've received your license. In this short (56 pages), cogent, focused guide, Florida real estate broker Katherine Scarim tells real estate novices the practical steps they can and should take to "jump start [their] future real estate career before they're licensed, even while they they may still be studying for the exam. The author begins with an important disclaimer: "...It is illegal to practice real estate without a license." Her suggestions are aimed to "allow you to start gaining knowledge and mapping out your future real estate business—not to have you begin your career prior to licensure.”Scarim urges readers to get started on tasks they will need to do when they’re licensed: 1. Start conducting market research. 2. Nurture and build your fiture client base. Decide on the fundamaentals of your future business (including the specific criteria to use in choosing a brokerage with which to hang your future license). 4. Meet with an account to clarify how to handle your business expenses from the start. Plan your market strategy. Decide how to brand yourself as a real estate pro. For instance, choose one adjectice (examples: Competent; Professional; Trustworthy, Ethical, Approachable), make sure all your future marketing efforts reinforce your brand/identity.Scarim closes with these encouraging words: “Please, use your pre-licensure time to the fullest. Take control of your future. And once you obtain your license—hit the ground running!"
