As of this review I haven't completely read the book yet. I'm assuming this is the revised version as it came out fairly recently. The previous version that came out last March was terrible, so the authors promised to come out with a corrected version. I mainly got this book as several people I know play the videogame series and I wanted to see what all the excitement was about. The book uses the 5th edition rules set for D&D with modifications to fit the Dark Souls universe. There's lots of very good artwork and the flavor and themes are also well done. There are also a variety of character types and creatures to fight from the videogame including bosses. This is also the first rpg I've played where characters will respawn when killed. I really like the first page you come to when you open the book, simply : "You Died."

I absolutely adore the DS series, so I knew I had to get this book above all. When I got it it was packaged kinda meh, a few pages were bent but nothing a little force won’t fix. The bosses and items in this are mainly from Dark souls 3, kinda wish it was more balanced out with 1-3 but hey, still worth it all the same!!

Great product and I'm excited to use this but the shipping needed to be better. Got bad corner dents and scratches on my version of the book. Almost like it was dropped from a high place and scratched before it was wrapped in only ONE LAYER of small bubble wrap!Amazon, I love you but please wrap this beautiful book up more than just one layer.

This book is a mess. Typos everywhere, rotten theory (starting equipment for a class that doesn't have the pre-reqs? Seriously?)Obvious cash grab, total junk.
