GoPro Ball connection buckle for cameras (official GoPro -accessories)

Bought this to fix a broken plastic ball joint on a telesin shoulder strap mount. It had a plastic and rubber ball joint that perished in less than a year. This is an excellent replacement. Extremely sturdy and made of metal. I think this will outlast the shoulder strap mount its now attached to. Plenty of rotation available to get the camera pointed forward while on the strap of my backpack too. I use it with an Action 4 while cycling and haven,t noticed any unwanted movements. When adjusting it, it actually takes a fair bit of force to get it moving. Overall it just feels way nicer than the old ball joint it's replacing. It's really good quality!

You can definitely tell the better quality in this gopro original ball joint buckle compared to cheaper kits so its well worth buying. It is very very stiff at first, almost immovable although once the camera is attached the extra leverage allows it to move fine so definitely try that if your having any worries. Quality piece of kit!

The ball adjust is very stiff, but it probably needs to be to stay in place. Not suitable for fixing to moving objects subject to jolting e.g. a bicycle or car as severe jolts can mean the camera moves on the ball joint.

This makes moving my gopro or other action cameras so easy twist it to face to or away from you without removing and its also really good for changing none buckle accessories to buckle accessories like the original gopro 3 in 1 selfie stick.

As with all GoPro products that I have used, this is very well made and fit for purpose. I am using them (2) for 2 Hero Session cameras that I mount on bike helmets. Bear in mind that the Session is lighter than any of the other GoPro cameras, but I don't see why it shouldn't be OK for them. There have been comments that the ball joint is stiff. I'd rather have tat than flopping around loose.

This simply does not do the job. It is far too stiff for any accurate use. It is very badly designed with no adjustment of the friction on the swivel. You can get it to turn but you need hold close to the body and apply your strength with both hands. I tried to loosen it up by repeated movement with only my hands which is hard work. I did this till the camera mounting jaws snapped. I also tried applying a little oil which did nothing. I took it bits to apply some oil from below the swivel and that did not help. Its just too badly made. of course because I have fiddled with it I now cant send it back. A waste of money

product is nice and sturdy. I had to spray a bit of lubricant on the ball as it seems stuck but other than that all ok

With the GoPro brand, its expensive for what it is - a tripod mount I bought was cheaper and better quality and had more features. There are no adjusters on it as with most ball joint mounts, just a very stiff ball joint. Do wonder if it gets 'lose' over time but for now very stiff and holds camera in place. Would have been nice to have come with a tripod mount so it could be screwed on a mini pod of some sort.

Does what it supposed to do. Very stiff to rotate. Hopefully will loosen up a bit.

This buckle is probably THE easiest way to have your GoPro chin-mounted. It is very compact, yet provides enough range of motion to have a good angle even for a lean-forward helmet position. The trick is to mount the sticky pad horizontally and on the RIGHT side of the chin. That will place the lens more to the centerline of the helmet. This also keeps the chin vents functional on many helmets without blocking them permanently in a closed state. Keep in mind that this buckle is VERY tight, as it should be to eliminate all wiggle and rattle. To rotate it you have to find a way to grab the whole plastic mount. I wrap a piece of cloth or grab it with my motorcycle glove. I rotated and adjusted it many times without any issues. However, I think that it is meant to stay in one position, not constantly tweaking the angle.

The quality of finishing is good as we can see in those pictures.This is my second ball joint mount from Go Pro. Those mount legs will be broken easily if ur using it roughly .be careful in fixing and removing of mount to the base.i felt some delay in my shipment except that everything is fine
