I absolutely love this salad spinner. I have had it for a few years now and it still works really great. Cannot recommend it enough. It's not small, and takes up a bit of space in the cupboard. Really nice solid construction with the stainless steel. It's heavy too. It goes really fast and spins the salad well. Super easy to use. Genuinely I think the best salad spinner i have ever used

best lettuce spinner, okay it's a little on the big side but that means it fits a full sized lettuce it's a solid construction and takes very little effort to use. it spins at a good speed and the silicone base keeps it in place on the counter. I would highly recommend, i use the bowl for mixing sourdough etc outside of it being a salad spinner it's an all around great product.

As another reviewer says, I wondered how anyone could spend this amount on a salad spinner - now I know why! It is a work of art, and the very best salad spinner I have ever had. Very robust and durable, high quality workmanship, and astonishingly effective - works like a dream. The brake and spinning mechanism is excellent. Even better, the salad can be stored inside the basket in the spinner with the top pushed down and locked and kept in the fridge - this way the salad stays fresh far longer as the air circulates around the basket. Be aware that it is MUCH bigger than I expected, so you need a deep shelf in the fridge. HIGHLY recommend this effective, elegant, quality salad spinner!

Very nice product but it’s massive! I didn’t realise what a pain it would be to store it. Also I didn’t love the design because it had a curve inside which annoyed me. I ended up returning it and getting the smaller plastic version which I love. If I have a large amount of leaves to wash I just do it twice

I love this! After reading the reviews I ordered this wondering why anyone would spend this much on a salad spinner but when it arrived I understood and recommend it wholeheartedly. A very attractive steel bowl that would grace any table, a strong plastic basket for washing salad etc and a well fitting lid with a thorough and easy to use spinning action. No more clinging on to a spinner that shoots across the worktop, push down and leave, it stays put. Comes apart very easily and washes in the top of the dishwasher. It's a great size for a family and as I live alone I wondered if I should have bought the smaller one but I am so glad I went for this one it is so useful. Spinach may cook down to almost nothing but I can get an entire large bag into the basket for thorough washing and drying. Excellent!

I primarily purchased this product as I was looking for a non-plastic option, and they were few and far between. Pros: good capacity and the locking lid feature is helpful if you want to store produce in the fridge without using another bowl/container. The stainless steel is robust and looks very stylish. Cons: It is massive! If you do want to put it in the fridge, you need the best part of half an entire shelf for it. The biggest downside though is that with even a very small batch of produce inside (lettuce) it took even longer to dry than a bog-standard cheap plastic version. I know that there is going to be a big price difference when looking for a non-plastic option but the fact that its functionality is actually worse means that for me it was really not worth the price.

I bought it for my son and daughter in law for Christmas, they are very happy with it.

I bought this salad spinner in June of 2022, three years later it broke...what a terrible product, it should have lasted forever, JK. This was very well used and worked so good for three years that I just bought another one. The best part about this, is that once the spinner mechanism breaks, you still have an amazing stainless steel bowl. I would 100% recommend this product.

This is a great salad spinner. I use prepackaged salads that say they are washed, but I always get an upset stomach from them. I open the package, take out the inner package of dressing and then dump the solid mixture into the inner basket to be washed with water or a mixture of vinegar and water. The strainer basket is fine enough so that even with chopped salads 99% of the salad will stay within the basket and maybe only two or three little pieces will get stuck in the strainer so not a problem. There is no problem at all putting the top mechanism onto the strainer basket as some people have indicated, it’s quite easy. I am in my 70s and I have no problem operating the spinner so I can’t imagine why people have said they count under the top on the rotating basket.The bottom plastic piece is a sturdy polycarbonate that I think will wear quite well, and it provides a pivot point for the basket to spin on. Oxo even provided a finger slot so you can easily lift the bottom plastic beats out of the container to drain water. Since the spin mechanism is collapsible, it doesn’t take much room to store so I store it in the refrigerator to keep it cold for the next batch of salad. The brake mechanism works fine despite what some reviews have said, but normally I let the basket come to a stop by itself as I am preparing the dressing. After all, you bought it to spin so let it spin. So again-no problem. It is true, however, that the stainless steel bowl is rather thin and a bit flexible. But this does not inhibit the operation of the unit. I think the stainless steel ball is just engineered to be adequate and not add unnecessary steal an extra weight to the product. It is not built like a 1959 Buick Roadmaster, but more like a completely competent Honda Accord. If you make more salad than you can eat in one sitting, I recommend getting a universal, flexible silicone top to put on the stainless steel base to store your salad for the next meal.
