It's hard to believe that some of these movies are over 90 years old. It may be a generation thing but Charlie Chaplin is the Godfather of all comedy. His story-telling and comic timing are a joy to watch and it's shame on all the television broadcasters that these films are almost entirely ignored. This box set is the best collection to start a Charlie Chaplin collection. It's hard to pick a favourite but City Lights is probably the best film followed closely by Modern Times, The Gold Rush and The Kid. The quality is quite remarkable for such old material.
