I bought this to cover an old desktop for working from home as my previous desk was a bit on the small side. I wanted to see what it was like first so picked a cheap roll in grey wood and figured I could upgrade to something nicer at a later date if it all went well! I prepped the desktop by giving it a light sanding and filling in any cracks etc, then gave it a light varnish so there was a nice smooth surface for the vinyl to stick too. I saw a video that suggested removing a strip from the middle of the roll, sticking that down in the centre and then working a side at a time, which worked really well, rather than going right the way across. The vinyl was really easy to work with, it stuck firmly but you could peel it back if you made a mistake. I removed about a foot of the backing at a time and smoothed it down by hand and it worked a treat (no need for a rubber smoother). Sorting out the edges and wrapping underneath was a bit more fiddly, but I took my time and used a hairdryer to make the vinyl more pliable to wrap round corners etc. and it worked out okay. I noticed a small speck under the vinyl, but used a really shape knife to make a tiny slit a picked it out with a pin, smoothed it down and you couldn't tell. Left it overnight with some weight on the top just to make sure everything stuck well and was really happy with the results. The rounded corners are a little scrappy, but that's my lack of experience! The top of the desk looks amazing, really professional. I'm going to see how it lasts and if the finish holds up, I'll swap the grey for a more natural wood finish. Overall, well recommended

After first ordering a white, which turned out to be pearl, I ordered this grey, it's absolutely perfect. Looks classy. I have just ordered another roll as I was about a foot out with my measuring. As for the pearly white one, that has been used to cover my wardrobe doors and bedside cabinet top, looks fab. Happy accident. This stuff is really easy to put on, I do suggest giving the surface a light sand down first as the tiniest of bits can create bubble. For the price this is absolutely brilliant. Don't overthink it, just get in there and get it done. It's turned my 'old lady kitchen' into a up to date fabulous looking space. My daughter might even go in there now to make me a coffee... You never know.

I used this to upscale the outside of a shoe rack I purchased from Ikea and it came out really well. It was easy to use, measure out and cut.

Used on my kitchen counters and went on a treat. Really easy to fix any bumps or crinkles with the squeegee and a hairdryer. Originally I opted for a lighter vinyl, from DC-Fix however have now settled on the Pearl Grey. Both installations were quick and easy.

Brillant quality is very good not flimsy was delivered on time and a nice sticker for the courier to hand to the receiver and not leave outside on the doorstep (which a lot of couriers do leave packages outside ) thank you will be recommending this to friends 😄

Was easier than I thought and allowed repositioning. Yes it looks fake but it's got a nice grain and does the job very well. Have been using for a month and it looks good as day 1.

We have an old tv stand that didnt match the decor we had so we ended up buying this to redecorate it. The adhesive film is quite sticky and if you put it on right it will not look tacky at all. I would recommend taking measurements to ensure that each piece you cut is the right size. After about 3 weeks, it is still holding to the tv stand. I suspect if there will be alot of rubbing to touching it will come off, if it gets wet or anything like that, but for a tv stand or something you dont expect to touch or interact with alot this is a cheap and quick alternative to redecorate. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with the product and its effectiveness. Worth the buy to try out and if you dont like it, just return it.

This is the best brand I have found. I wrap walls, countertops, etc., and it is thick enough to cover without tearing ( even when you make a lot of mistakes).
