The plastic is quite thick and sturdy and the threaded sockets appear to be brass or similar. The remote control paired right away with my Android phone and worked the shutter on the standard Android Camera app in both Photo and Video mode. The one problem was the thread on the base of the L-shaped bracket. All three threaded sockets are supposed to be 1/4" but the L bracket is smaller, possibly 3/16th. The part code on the packet is correct for this advert, and I checked to see if Zeadio made another product with mixed threads, and it appears not. Maybe Zeadio UK can comment on this? Fortunately my tripod has a swivelling top bracket so I don't necessarily need the L bracket but one with the correct 1/4" thread would be nice.
