No it does not. I bought a book when I ordered it. The best seller crotchet book on here. It's less than 8.00 Great book and kit.

It was a good size for me but I bearly used it.

What are the square plastic things?

The only thing that I could think of is to use them to wind yarn. It doesn’t make much sense though.
