## Description

The Coollaboratory Liquid Ultra was optimized for highest performance and optimal usability. The thermal compound consists to 100% of metal, but can be applied very easy with a commercial brush. The processor (Heatspreader) should be cleaned thoroughly before apply the Liquid Ultra, in order to eliminate dirt, old thermal compound or fat.Depending on the size of the Heatspreader, three to four division lines of Liquid Ultra should be applied centrically on the Heatspreader. Then the Liquid Ultra should be disposed slowly and without pressure on the Heatspreader. The less pressure is used when elapsing, the easier the Liquid Ultra can be applied. The Liquid Ultra has a pasty form, whereby the application goes very fast. Please pay attention to coat also the edges of the Heatspreaders. Therefore always use the same brush side. It is usually not necessary to apply more Liquid Ultra again for a commercial processor.

So after much googling to ensure no aluminium was present I took the chip out just to be safe and the brushes included with this were excellent for application, and made it super easy.. It also made sure that any of the little bubbles that can appear are quickly rectified and spread out. I would whole heartedly recommend this, drop in temps is significant when you think this is only a paste.. application is simple and I am a fond believer if i can do this then any semi competent individual will have zero issues. Just make sure the cooler is not aluminium. my i7-4790k is now running @ 60c under full load on prime 95 which is a significant 4-5c drop on previous results.. very happy

Before this change my CPU would run around 80 degrees when overclocked. In the same case and with the same overclock it now runs at 60-65 or below. Astonishing!!! Never would have thought it makes that much difference. By the way, the CPU is a 4790k, so it already had the "updated" heat transfer material from Intel....still the change to this made such a difference. Practical tip: Best apply with a Q-Tip instead of the supplied brush. With that you can "massage" a tiny amount into whatever surface you are using it on without any spills. The syringe was enough for the de-lid project, the cooler itself and my notebook CPU and GPU (which now also run 15 degrees Celsius cooler). After that it was exhausted, while still looking to be quite full. I had to find out though that the remaining silver stuff was just some solid powder, no liquid. Not sure what or why...

**Q: Is it safe to use on non delidded 4790k? I don't want to delid my 4790k. Is the lid aluminium and if it is will this eat the aluminium?**
A: Hello Miceal,I was hesitating to delid my i7 4790K, but courage is backbone of mankind so I delidded my cpu. I've got near 25º celcius drop. If you dont want to delid your cpu, just buy arctic mx4 or noctua nt-h1. there won't be a difference since you are not delidding your cpu and no the cpu lid is nickel plated copper, gallium won't eat it up.

**Q: Is this a single use amount or could be applied several times?**
A: You can easily do 8-10 CPU applications with it, maybe 4 GPU applications, probably more. It really does go a long way!

**Q: Would it work in combination with corsair liquid coolers like the h150i?**
A: It works with any cooler, BUT this does not go between the cooler and the cpu as it will eat through the metal of the cooler, this stuff is to go between the cpu die and the cpu lid, and then you would use regular thermal paste to go between the cooler and the cpu lid, hopefully that makes sense. (this stuff is amazing, but it's generally used for delidded cpu's to get the very best temperatures)

**Q: I have heard this won't work aluminium heatsinks? Is this true? Can I use it to repaste a ps4 heatsink?**
A: No it can't be used on aluminium it will corrode there is a warning on the package. It's great stuff for copper or stainless.

Great thermal compound. The package comprises the thermal compound, two application brushes and a cleaning kit (cleaning tissues and metal grinding pad). I used it to improve the thermal transfer efficiency between my CPU, GPUs and their respective copper water-blocks and was impressed by the numbers. Additionally, I have used it for air cooling with a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo , also with good temperatures. For the best results, only apply the minimum required to thinly cover the surface of your processor. Great for overclocking a CPU, provided a quality third-party (non-stock) cooling solution is also used. Recommended. WARNING : NOT TO USED WITH ALUMINIUM This stuff corrodes aluminium very quickly. So make sure it doesn't come in to contact with any aluminium, especially on your heatsink (if applicable). If your heatsink gets eaten then your CPU will die!
