WDT tool, Espresso Distribution tools, 10 x 0.35mm 304 Stainless Steel Needles Installed with 10 Extra needles for Espresso Stirrer Replacement, Aluminum Alloy Handle with Stand (Matte Brown)

This is well made and I'm glad I picked this needle distribution tool over others. I'm still having problems not having channels in my bottomless portafilter. Counter still gets messy, but less so now.

The product does what it is supposed to which is WDT.The stability of needle holder is good compared to other WDT tools because the needles are held at two points, meaning they don't wobble around annoyingly.The needles came in 0.34mm caliper reading, which is good. I bought some WDT tools before they say "0.35mm" but actually 0.5mm....this one is actually 0.35mm which is good.The base bottom feels really cheap. In fact I hate it so much I wanted to use my old WDT base instead but it doesn't center well in it. The bottom is basically no metal hollow bottom held by foam. Admittedly I won't be feeling the bottom of my WDT base on a daily basis, but skimping on this part bothers me.I thought about decreasing rating because of the cheap bottom, but overall I am impressed with the WDT performance and also the stability of the retainer design of the WDT device itself so 4 stars.

This is a really good product. I stopped leaving reviews - too time consuming. Yet I feel compelled to compliment this coffee distribution/de-clumping tool. I am not receiving any benefit other than being satisfied with this item. Delivered quickly. Great protective packaging-impressive. The entire base with top sits attractively and unobtrusively on the counter by my espresso machine. The base is heavy and stable. The top which contains the pins for distributing the coffee, fits easily and quickly into the base after each use. The pins and pattern of the pins make the distribution/de-clumping quick and easy. At first, I thought the pins might be too fine (too small gauge) but they work great. I had been using a wood skewer (for grilling) by sharpening one end with a knife into a point and then stirring the grounds. This tool works faster and more efficiently and, distributes more evenly than my home-made tool.The only alternative I considered was one reviewer’s wry suggestion to just push some sewing needles into a cork for the distribution tool. That would work just fine but, it wouldn’t look so good on the counter or complement my top quality espresso machine, grinder, tamper, scale, etc. Well worth the price.

Great tool. Ability to easily replace, remove and change the needles sets this to apart from others. And it comes with a bunch of extra needles. Great seller, great product.

Heavier than it looks, and I like that.Adjustable, add or remove needles to suit your preference. I use 4-5.Base is sturdy, pleasing to look at.Others have mentioned that it feels like the base and tool should snap together or hold magnetically. I agree. It would feel more premium, like it were worth another $5-10 more if it did.These needles are industry standard for wdt tools. They do a fine job of breaking up the clumps. Extra needles were provided as well.This tool has become an integral part of my espresso routine, and I would recommend it to my friends and family.

I've had my espresso machine for over a year, probably averaging 2 shots per day. I have a bottomless porta filter and have been using the hand/table tap method and then tamp. I have a mid tier flat burr grinder and I would multiple times a week get shots where I would get some obvious channeling, squirting in multiple directions out the bottom. My extraction times varied on the same grind setting from 23-32 seconds (mostly in the middle somewhere) so things weren't always the same. I for this WDT and bent the needles out a little bit because they were a bit close. My extractions have all been exactly 27 seconds and no channeling at all. It has made my shots a lot less bitter tasting and has overall improved the quality. The handle is high quality machined aluminum with a high quality aluminum stand. It looks nice next to my machine unlike the 3D printed ones. 10/10 would recommend if you're on the fence about it, or just want to improve the quality of your espresso.

There was lots of different WTD tools available and this one looked like it ticked all the boxes.It’s simple, the needles seem to be the perfect thickeners and the holder and the device itself feels like good quality.Would recommend if you’re looking for a simple WTD tool.

I've tried a few WDT tools and I love this one the most. Mostly because it's metal and has a protective base for the needles to go inside. The only issue I found was it was moving the grounds around too much with all the needles inside. By taking out the four innermost needles it now works perfectly without moving all the grounds around.

The product is all metal construction and has a nice weight to it. Breaks most of the clumps from the Breville Smart Grinder Pro. Seller is quite sincere and responses to queries were very prompt.
