If there is space around the griddle on your grill fold some tin foil and place it aound the edges this will save heat when cooking. Turn your burners on to the lowest setting and put the griddle on, apply a thin layer of rapeseed oil to the griddle and close the lid. This will season your griddle. I was worried it would warp but it did not. I did Google what to do and a video showing you on you tube what to do. I just followed the advice that was given.
