I tested this with calibration liquid and was surprised that it was accurate. I have an icecap that is no longer accurate even after calibrating it. Hope this one will last longer.

This product did not give accurate reading. I could’ve wiped out all my livestock with this inaccurate reading. Their user manual does not even give instructions on how to calibrate for it to work properly! Do not buy!

This seems to work consistent and accurate but calibration does not work well. I finally stropped fighting with it, knowing that it is just going to read 1pt low

The main thing to remember is it's performing a battery of tests when you use it. Salinity is part of it. When the meter is done you can click through all the results. Don't expect to be able to keep it just on salinity.

So I bought this tester because I wanted a digital tester. After recieving it and trying it out against two other salinity testers this one was not accurate. Even after calibration. It kept coming in a 1.022 when I know for certain the water was 1.025. So other buyers, if you tester your water and it’s low or high just double or triple check against a different salinity tester. Tho I do like that it tells the temp and the tds’s which were spot on just the salinity was off.

In distilled water reads spot on but for salinity level that I know is correct at 1.025 I get 1.022. So I just know if it reads 1.022 I’m at where I need to be. But always double check!
