Q: Will this fit our rectangular-shaped toilet bowl, which is 13.25" from side to side (width) and 17" long at the outside (length) ? Many thanks.

All these raised toilet seats fit regular toilets but the one thing I will say is that unless the patient is very tall this seat is too high. Most of the raised seats are 10cm/4ins & I had to buy another one as this one was just too high.

Q: Can this be attached to original toilet seat without taking off .

Hello there, Answer is not cannot be attached to original toilet seat, you can however, put the old toilet seat up and attache new raised toilet seat to lavatory, which means you are using old toilet seat as back rest. Thank you.

Q: Are the fixings metal or plastic? I bought one with plastic fixings nd the threads wore out within weeks.

The fixings are plastic all the years I have had a toilet seat I have never had one that has wore out.and the threads have stade has tight Big Jen.

Q: What is the the widest bowl the clips can attach to, ie how far apart are the clips that attach to the bowl when extended to the max?

hi the toilet bowl I have is a normal size and raised seat fits perfect the clips are not at max so there is a little room . I hope this helps,
