Thin but warm
I bought 3 of these as I wear them every day. I bought xl as I am a 14 and occasionally 16 and I wanted a bit of space. They fit well with room to spare and are long in the back, covering the bottom. I am only 5ft1 but I do have a long body so I feel these are well sized. They are very warm and comfortable and I would recommend them. I dry them on a hanger and they dry relatively quickly at room temperature. It says not to tumble dry so I don’t.

Cosy, warm, great colour
I love merino wool and as a keen outdoorsy person am always looking for good base layers. I chose this one partly because of the colour, which is lovely, and also as it seemed good value for money. I don’t love it as much as my icebreaker base layers, as it has bobbled up a bit and doesn’t feel quite as smooth and skintight (maybe I should have gone for a smaller size), but that said I do wear it a lot - including around the house on chilly days - so I’d definitely buy again!

Falling apart after 3 gentle washes. Air/radiatordried.
I was very happy with this thermal top until I had washed it 3 times and then noticed a hole had appeared under the left arm. For the price I paid I expected it to last me years! Not 3 washes. And It was washed on a wool cycle and then dried on the line and the two other times dried on the radiator. This is poor quality. I tried to go to their website to complain and let them have the chance to reimburse me, but the form on the website just refreshes when you click to send the feedback. So they obviously don't want to hear about any complaints! I'm so annoyed. I need to learn to darn with wool thread now as I'm not wasting it! Too bloody expensive to waste. But be warned. Its not worth wasting your money on this top. The bottoms are ok so far. So I can't complain about them.

Super cosy
Looks like an ordinary top but manages to retain body heat and keep you warm - without being bulky. Impressive

Warm and comfy nice colour
I will wear this through the winter as a base layer of thermal insulation. It is close fitting, soft and comfortable to wear. I highly recommend it

THE ITEM HAS KEPT ME WARM BUT THE FINISH AROUND THE NECK WILL NEED RE-STITCHING INTO PLACE
In these days of high energy prices and harsh January frosts, I'm glad I purchased a couple sets of last April (when the price dropped). When wearing a top and bottom plus fingerless merino gloves, I can work at a computer and still feel warm enough, while the house temperature is only 14 degrees ie after the initial early morning heating has dissipated. Without these merino base layers I'd feel pretty cold, sitting at that temperature, for long.. However, I've only worn one of the tops 5 times at most (I've not worn the other at all yet) and the`piping ' (for want of a better word) around the neck has become detached for quite a few inches and will need to sewn back on, which could be quite tricky. With the other new one, I'll take care to support that area while putting on/taking off. Ideally, I'll reinforce the stitching with a machined ziz-zag right around the neckline, before wearing. If you can get them at a reduced price in the spring, I'd suggest setting aside time or cash to get the neck edge reinforced before next winter. Although the garments had thread tails which would've ideally been snipped before dispatch (bear in mind that I did get them cheaper so they may have forgone that step then to cut production costs), none of those cased any stitching to come apart on seams and they were where there was an overlap in stitching anyway. If yours have them, you should find that it's ok to trim them to a couple of mm long with no adverse effects. There were none of these at the neckline and I think it's a separate issue, there. When they're put away for the summer, wash them and store in really airtight bags to prevent damage from moth larvae. I really hope this helps to make the right selection - and that you keep warm and comfy in the cold. 💕
