Good for basement and workout room use, too!
My (unfinished) basement floor is not always as dry as I would like -- even with a dehumidifier running, when we get big rain here, things get a bit damp. I wanted something to put under the exercise equipment (a rower and a lightweight glider/elliptical machine), and I decided that instead of gym mats, I'd be better off with something like this on my damp-ish floor. I had already had good luck with dri-deck for the kennel enclosure for my dogs (also in the basement -- damaged a bit by my chewier dog, but still sturdy and easy to clean), and decided to give it a shot for the workout space as well. I put decking under the rower as a test, and so far it's working just as well as I expected -- the rower sits above the damp and doesn't retain it or mold, the flooring's easy to clean and remove/replace as needed, and it's strong enough to hold the machine and my weight without damage. I was worried the rower might slide a bit when it's in use, but the surface actually grips pretty well, so I haven't had a problem with the machine moving out of place. This product's other use is as marine decking, and I can see why it's good for that purpose!

Not as durable as I thought.
I wanted a product that was very durable, and my dog was able to chew it up in one day.

Better for smaller dogs than medium to big dogs in 12-pack configuration
Although the description says they're 1 foot by 1 foot. Its not until you fully assemble the 12 pieces that you see how small of an area they truly cover. For the price you pay they should be at least 2'×2' long. My dog lives in a 10×10 kennel and it was only enough to hardly place in the entrance of her kennel. That said it was easy to snap in place and helps when it rains so you're not stepping in mud right away. I've put elevated plywood around the rest of her kennel for now. Another thing is she chews on the corner of the rubber mat. I'm not sure if it's the chemicals or the smell, shes never chewed on anything else before but you may have to train your dog to stop eating these when you place them down. It's a good rubber mat, would reccommend for smaller pets. For bigger pets you will need to buy more of them them just a 12 pack.

Keeps My Cats Dry
I have an apartment built for rescue cats in my garage and lately, one wise guy decided to start playing with the water tank. Well, it was a mess all over the carpet throws. So, this idea came to me. Since the floor is cement, anything that spills will be absorbed, so all I needed to do was keep the surface dry. And that's when Dri-Dek popped into my head. The water will drop through the perforations and onto the cement ... water problem solved. Now if I can just keep the water tank filled, silly cats!

Versatile and easy to use
I used the tiles to line a tub I use for bathing my dog. They were easy to cut to shape and I like the slight give. The secure footing and the elevation so my dog isn't standing in the water is exactly what I wanted. I will also be using them in an outdoor area that gets flooded when it rains.

Got this for my small dog (pomeranian mix, little bigger than a normal pom) who was very old and no longer had control of his bowels. We lined the bottom of his area with this and put one of those porous grass patches over it. The setup worked well for its intended use. Product is also fairly versatile.
