I bought two of these back in June 2023 for working from home which I have done ever since. They have not failed once in the 20 months since and provides a good clear picture on my 24” HD monitors.

this seems fine for the task required - happy to have found such a suitable product at a reasonable price.

Amazing! After purchasing different cables and returning them to get my HP monitor connected and operational with my Lenovo AIO this HDMI to VGA Converter has done the trick. Worked straight away no problems, wish I come across this at the very beginning of my issue

This is exactly what I needed to connect my pc screen to my laptop.

I purchased a cheap HDMI to VGA adapter from eBay for £5 approx. I thought I had found a really great deal, but was unimpressed with the item as it failed within a couple of uses and was not reliabily outputting 1080p resolution. So I bought the HDMI to VGA adaptor from Startech. I have had no issues at all with this item, it works flawlessly. Sometimes you DO get what you pay for! Never had any issues with Startech. Will definately keep and eye on their product lines.

One scheme where one is supposed to acquire this adapter facilitates the notion that whatever the analog output will do best with the source, the source must provide it as complete as it can; and that's where an active adapter may be different from a mini-adapter or a micro-adapter, the monitor here was enabled to use its two-end VGA cable which is crucial for the signal. Now the rest is nuances and mostly is how well an OS (e.g. Win 10 or 11) is configured, CRU included, Custom Resolutions, native capabilities (not really K4 videos supported for this device, they just playback), all of them still might not make the best of it with or without the adapter.

I tried a number of VGA to HDMI adapters to connect a Dell laptop to a Epson projector and none of them work. The StarTech VGA to HDMI adapter work straight away with a consent connect. Would highly recommend it.

I originally bought a cheapo adapter from some unknown brand for about 4 pounds. Didn't work... I knew I could rely on startech so thought I'd fork out the extra money. Have been using this a while now and works perfectly. Only negative bit expensive.

Cet adaptateur fonctionne parfaitement pour un 2ème écran. Tant sur mon portable (Asus) que sur mon fixe (HP). Hélas, pour un 3ème écran (récup) c'est ma carte graphique (NVIDIA GeForce GT 520) qui ne supporte QUE 2 écrans, MALGRE les 3 connecteurs. Et cela ne paraît que lors de la configuration NVIDIA avec le 3ème écran CONNECTE: "deux écrans maximum". Donc, CONSEIL ABSOLU si vous avez 3 écrans: vérifiez la possibilité LOGICIELLE de votre carte graphique, car sur les 3 connecteurs, 2 seulement peuvent être connectés MATERIEL. Encore un GRAND coup de chapeau pour AMAZON qui m'a repris le connecteur sans discussion, ainsi que le service client STARTECH qui m'a guidé jusqu'à cette conclusion.

***APPLICATION*** Wanted to use my Lenovo W530 laptop with my HP MX70 CRT. My gear is vintage and so am I. ***LIKES*** StarTech is a great company - they build quality product that works well and they also have great support. I’ve bought a lot of their products and used their support once to deal with a technical issue - which they handled quickly and effectively. This product is a good representation of what they put out: it is well-designed and engineered, and manufactured to high standards. It’s certainly a practical design, and yet it’s much classier as compared to all the competitors I’ve seen. There was no interference or distortion in the image from the laptop - it was nice and crisp. While gaming there was no significant lag as is often a concern with these VGA interfaces. ***DISLIKES*** I will not take off a star for this, but you oftentimes will pay more - sometimes a LOT more - for their product versus a competitor’s product. The reason I won’t take off a star is all the reasons stated in my likes! 😎 ***TO BUY OR NOT TO BUY?*** Do you need an HDMI to VGA interface? Do you want to buy a quality product from a reputable manufacturer? Then heck yes, BUY IT!
