Large Delux Rectangular Hessian Lined Log Basket Antique Wash Finish Full Cane Willow Rope Handled

We were looking for a replacement log basket for our lounge and this one caught our eye. We chose it for its size and the fact that it is lined.We were impressed by the size as it does hold a large amount of logs and it looks good in our lounge. Colour is a little darker than the oak furniture we have, but that’s not an issue.We’ve taken one star off as the linking doesn’t fully prevent fall out so you still end up with sawdust on your carpet, but it’s easy to hoover up. We’ve placed ours on an offcut of carpet.Delivery was delayed by a couple of days.

As I haven't had it very long it's difficult to know how sturdy and long-lasting it will be. Very heavy if completely filled with logs so care needed when manoeuvring and overfilling might shorten its life. Very pleased with it overall as it looks good and holds decent sized logs. I'm hoping it lasts well.

The hessian is light weight and, I think, likely to tear if used to store rough cut wood. The rope handle is glued on, making me wonder how long it will stay in place and the whicker isn't exactly a perfect rectangle... That being said, I use mine for a wellie/shoe box and it works well for that; holding 2 adults' pairs of wellies, kids wellies x2 and several pairs of shoes. Given the price I'd say it's reasonable value for the money, just may not be robust enough if you want to transport roughly cut logs from outside to indoors.

I've had this basket for over 6 months now and it's still as it was when it arrived. Very strong and built to last obviously, well worth the extra expense.The lining is also Good, I put a bit of wax cloth in the bottom of my mine to stop the dust dropping through.Ive just ordered another one, because after 3 years my previous one is starting to break up, but thats only because I dropped something on it a year ago...

Would have liked it a bit stronger and chunky... but good value for the money and will do the job...

This is a lovely solid box that i needed for storing my fire logs. Attractive and a good size PERFECT. It also was delivered before the expected delivery date. Would definitely would use again.

Looks great and holds loads of logs, very sturdy and saves the mess l used to have to put up with when my husband kept the logs on the hearth!

Great looking basket. I use it for storing blankets in the sitting room for when there’s a nip in the air. It looks very good and keeps the place tidy.
