I must admit that I was skeptical. I'd tried so many alternatives that were ineffective or blocked pores or weren't exactly body friendly. It did take a few daily applications but I did notice a difference. I'm not at the weekly application stage yet but I only apply it when it feels necessary. Maybe once every 3 or 4 days. I anticipate that the pot itself will last for ages; a little smear goes a long way. I would have given it 5 stars but it is a bit messy. Even with the little spatula, it gets under my nails as I'm rubbing it in to my skin. This came up as a suggestion on Amazon and it seemed to tick all the boxes. I do have to say its really effective, and 1 month in I only apply it once or twice a week. The worst bit is going the initial 48 hours without any protection (thank goodness for water wipes!) I bathed on the Friday night which meant I could apply it Sunday bedtime in readiness for the new week. I started off using a pea size amount but now down to a half-pea size per armpit. Yes it is a thick consistency but if you place it on your skin for a couple of seconds your body heat helps for it to smooth over easily. I reapply if odour occurs, and although I bath daily I only use water on my underarm as soap seemed to affect its efficiency. It is so liberating to be able to feel I am not offending others with my underarm odour, sleeveless tops are now back in my wardrobe. I hope this product is a long term solution but thankfully no skin reaction to date. So glad I gave it a go. Thank you to the community members who answered my questions that the info leaflet didn't cover.Update: have persevered with this for a pot and a half. It started well but it’s efficiency isn't what is was. Even with washing daily the odour from my underarms is unpleasant, and I am having to wipe frequently with water wipes to keep fresh during the day. I am reapplying the product 2-3 times a week to try and combat but it’s no good. I've been using Lavilin for 3 weeks and feel it is something I can live with and continue to use. It doesn't stop the wetness so I carry Pitrock wipes for a lunch time freshen up. I feel it is worth it to let the body eliminate toxins as it is supposed to do, particularly so close to the breast area where you need good lymph drainage Also you aren't taking the potential risk of putting aluminium near your breasts, alongside all the other gunk they put in normal antiperspirant deodorants. I have been using Lavilin daily though as I scrub it off in the shower at night using my shower puff. The tub will still last ages.One word of warning - the item I received was not the hypo-allergenic version.
