It works perfectly for my small 5 lb dog. The strap is adjustable which let's you set how high or low you want to carry dog. The metal adjustment buckle can dig into ur shoulder but not enough to bother me. I carry my dog more in the front than photo. . I have a 10lb. Pomeranian that can fit in if she lays down but for her its not working.
