I just installed these in my 2006 Miata with an Android radio and it sounds amazing. No amplifier. Do not hesitate to get these. The people that are giving these low ratings likely have unrealistic expectations.

I ordered and installed two sets of these NVX component speakers and both sets failed. The first sets crossover burned up inside the fairing. The coil on the crossover literally overheated so bad it burned through the crossover case and nearly through my fairing. The second set has a failed 6.5" woofer with no sound. Nvx replaced the first set under warranty but I had to ship the entire set back because they would not let me just send the crossover! The second set they do not want to cover under warranty as they say it is out of the warranty period! It's outside the original warranty period ONLY because the first set had to go back. I wast told at least a dozen times that someone would contact me but it is now two weeks gone and crickets from them. Never again will I buy any product from them or Sonicelectronix their parent company. Should have stuck with Fosgate!

These speakers sound way better than they should. This is a perfect fit for GMT800 trucks with the Bose 2 ohm set up. I used the factory bose amp and was shocked at the quality.

So the speakers themselves are great I'll get that out of the way. I used the 2 ohm version and if you need a drop in for 2 ohm they are fantastic and you will be happy tracking them down. That being said I needed to order 5 sets to get all that I needed. I ordered two sets originally and I got a set that was 2 ohm and one that was 4 ohm which was incorrect I needed two sets of 2 ohm speakers. So I sent the incorrect set back and 3 more times amazon kept sending 4 ohm speakers!!!! I finally got fed up after weeks of getting the wrong product and ordered another 2 ohm set from ebay which took longer but was at least correct!!!!! So that being said the speakers are a 5 but amazon gets a 1 for service. I'd say buy direct from the manufacture or their ebay store.

Sounds great. Excellent replacement for the cheap paper cones in my 2014 Tesla Model S. I didn't bother using the included crossovers and tweeters. The 2 ohm rating is what brought me to these and they didn't disappoint.

The 6.5” 2 ohm speakers worked great to replace my blown Boom Audio Stage 2 speakers. For the price you can’t beat them.
