I bought this ereader to replace a Sony reader. I like that it isn't attached to a book store and giving me recommendations. It feels good to hold and seems robust. I watched some YouTube reviews before buying and the things they didn't like don't bother me eg lack of touch screen, no wifi, and light not bright enough. I've not had a touch screen ereader before so I don't miss that same with the WiFi. I don't care about not being able to go on the internet with it as I always have my phone with me. And as for the light, I always have it on the lowest setting.So far the only thing I don't like about this ereader is that you can only turn the light off in settings or by turning off the ereader and then back on. I'm still playing around with different ways to load books onto it to find what works best for me.I'm very pleased with this brand and will probably buy another one when needed.

I ordered this as I wanted a replacement for a Paperwhite I have as I have a badly damaged wrist (with metal plates in) and the Paperwhite, although nearly perfect hurts my wrist to keep touching it. I wanted an ereader with the 'paddle' turns at the side and tried a Voyage but it was awful. I thought this might fill in the gap between a backlit item and a one with side 'paddles' to stop me being in pain.I was sent a box which had no seal and had obviously been opened. The ereader was covered in icky fingerprints (had to wipe with anti bac cloth) and the rear had food? stains on. ALL of the items in the box had been opened and used. The charging wire had been taken out of the sealed packet and the free screen cleaning cloth was scrunched into the bottom of a small packet. Even the sticky, clear screen-covering was scrunched with hairs on the glue!Disregarding how used and manky the entire contents of the box were, the ereader itself was faulty and the front main button was loose and not working.This was so obviously a faulty, previously returned item and I am disgusted that it had been sent out as new, and that a company wanting to get a foot in the UK marketplace allowed this to happen. I am also peeved as I have to make a trip out on a bus (I can no longer drive due to said injury and it will cost me £5.40) to return this to a 'Collection Point' as it can't be returned via a pickup from home!

The reason I have given this four stars rather than five is that it does not allow me to highlight text. Kindle paperwhite wins there. The Energy reader does not have a touch screen, but that is not a big issue for me.The HD screen with light is delightful. A generous 8 Gb. of RAM is provided, so I don't think I'll need to add any more RAM.The compatible cover (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Energy-Sistem-425396-eReader-Screenlight/dp/B01BNNR1JK/ref=pd_vtph_107_lp_tr_t_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=FWA0VCYVQYP9GWMDZ1YM) is elegant and well worth buying..mobi and Epub formats are both recognized, but I have found that the .mobi format works better.P.S. 2021. I have reduced the rating to two stars. The USB port is malfunctioniing. It does charge the ereader, but I cannot load any new books onto it.

i like this e reader its well made and light but the buttons take a bit of getting use to i think once you get the hang of it will be a good readeri certainly would not put people off buying it i would give it 5 but for the buttons

Il lettore e-book è ottimo, con tutte le funzioni fondamentali che un buon e-reader deve avere. Comodissimi i tasti per il cambio pagina posti su entrambi i lati, che consentono di cambiare pagina agevolmente quando si è coricati. Consiglio di visitare il sito del produttore dove ci sono le istruzioni per il settaggio iniziali e si può scaricare il manuale completo in formato pdf (il manualetto contenuto nella scatola non spiega in dettaglio tutte le funzioni)

Nunca he tenido un ebook pero siempre leo libros en mi movil. Creo sinceramente que he acertado con este. Para lo que vale va perfecto, la presentacion en la caja es impecable la toallita para la pantalla las pegatinas, todo super cuidadosamente puesto. Y funciona a las mil maravillas para lo que vale, claro. Los hay de tres veces mas caros.. El tactil lo echo en falta un poco por la costumbre mas que nada, le doy a la pantalla instintivamente pero me acostumbrare, ya he puesto todos mis libros y sin ningun problema. creo que podre leer hasta comics! el tacto me encanta, es pequeñito y manejable y la luz menos mal que tiene luz, la veo necesaria totalmente. En resumen, creo que es muy buen ebook para su precio. Un acierto para quienes nunca han tenido uno. Me encanta!

Odio il fatto di non poter prendere il lettore in maniera solida mettendo anche le dita sullo schermo con il rischio di cambiare pagina o attivare qualche funzione a dir poco inutile mentre si legge un libro.L'unico che ho trovato è stato questo. Il problema è che è molto lento. basta farci l'abitudine. La batteria si consuma molto in modalità stand by il che obbliga a spegnere completamente il dispositivo e riaccenderlo nel momento del bisogno (se non fosse lento ad accendersi..)I libri vanno caricati unicamente attraverso un collegamento fisico con USB ad un pc in quanto manca connessione wifi

USB Buchse hat Wackler, Reader wird nur noch sporadisch vom Rechner erkannt. Muss den Reader reklamieren, falls ich keinen Ersatz bekomme, kann ich ihn entsorgen. Schade drum. Abwertung von 3 auf 1 SternEndlich mal ein Reader ohne Touchscreen fürs umblättern. Das hat mich immer an meinem 2013 Paperwhite gestört, man kann Touchgeräte halt nur am Rand anfassen ohne unbeabsichtigt zu blättern. Ich hatte auch den ersten Kindle, ohne Touch und Beleuchtung da war die Tastenbedienung optimal. Leider hatte der eben keine Beleuchtung, was wesentlich für mich ist. Es nervt mich schon lange immer nur am Rand halten zu können ich wollte einfach wieder überall hin fassen können. Das kann der En-Sy. Reader nun. An sich ist der Reader gut, allerdings in der Detailumsetzung durchaus verbesserungswürdig.Hier weitere Pro/Cons:+ sehr leicht (Leichter als mein alter Paperwhite)+ Schriftgrössen feiner anpassbar als mein PW, ich bin 50+, d.h. hab Schwierigkeiten beim "kleingedruckten"+ Auflösung gut, klare Schriften- träge beim Einlesen, Prozessor scheint nicht besonders leistungsfähig zu sein. Nach Eingaben gibts öfters mal ne "Gedenksekunde" da muss man Geduld haben, sonst gibts Fehleingaben. Vermutlich werden einige Leute dies nervig finden und deswegen zurücksenden.- Die Minimal Helligkeit ist viel zu hoch um in einem dunklen Raum blendfrei zu lesen, das macht der PW deutlich besser.- Die Tasten am Rand sind ähnlich wie beim 1. Kindle, allerdings im Detail etwas schlechter. Beim Kindle war die Aufhängung des Schalters innen, d.h. durch Druck außen am Rand konnte man blättern. Hier ist es umgekehrt. Dies bewirkt wenn man den Reader außen hält ist es etwas schwieriger zu blättern. Geht schon, 1. Kindle mit Tasten war aber besserIch behalte den Reader, da das Lesen und die Bedienung mit Tasten wenn auch mit kleinen Abstrichen (Helligkeit, Tasten optimierbar) funktioniert und mir das Lesen an sich mit Abstand am wichtigsten ist. Er macht mit Abstrichen was er soll, darum 3 Sterne, wenn zumindest die Min Helligkeit verbessert werden würde wären 4 drin.....

Tarda un poco en cargarse el libro al encenderlo pero luego va rápido y es fácil de usar.Tiene luz regulable y no cansa la vista.Me llegó tan sólo en 4 días sin tener Premium.
