Top Race Remote Control Digger Excavator 15 Channel Professional 1:14 Construction Toy with Lights and Sound - Boys and Girls, Age 12+

I purchased this for my son to replace a Bruder excavator that kept breaking due to a weakness within the design on the arm, and he absolutely loves this! The battery seems to last for as long as we need, and charging it up is very easy with the included USB cable. The control scheme was a bit fiddly to get to grips with at the start, but even though he's four years old, he can use it with ease now. The arm itself opens wide enough to pick up wooden blocks and other items that my son likes to dig up, and the caterpillar track movement action is perfect, allowing him to drive it across to his dumper truck to then drop the blocks in. When I've had a go (which is always loads of fun) I've even driven the excavator across multiple items on the floor, including a cushion and when it topples over perfectly onto the tracks, it can be rather satisfying! I've even used the arm to pull it along the floor and over certain objects. All in all, this is a great product that's well worth the price!

This excavator provides tons of fun, has been using it for the last 4 years and it is a trully amazing toy. I bought better battery [2800mAh] so it lasts 1 hour. On the top of that Hobbit Village is the seller that I personally never have encountered. Service provided, the communication and kindness is simply out of this world! After using this toy with a grapple fork I asked them could I also buy the normal excavator scoop and to my biggest surprise they offered it to me for free and even paid for it's delivery. Sadly this item has been lost by Royal Mail but nonetheless it gave me soo much happiness and only proved this sellers kindness. Fully recommend this seller, they will go above all expectations to make you a happy customer! Fully deserved 5 stars!

I bought the Top Race Digger Excavator with Grapple fork TR-215 and the Top Race Construction Dump Truck TR-212. These are both well constructed and fairly tough toys. The 400mAh 7.2v battery supplied is perfectly adequate for some serious play time. I did have a problem with the USB charger for the digger which although the light continued flashing, stopped charging completely. I phoned Top Race and the man asked me to email a copy of the invoice to them. I did this, with a description of the problem and he posted a replacement USB charger and battery immediately. It arrived two days later and works perfectly. Impressive service from the company. Now thinking about getting the Bulldozer and Crane!

Battery was charged about 6 times and now wonlt charge at all.

This is a great piece of kit. Whilst it’s a toy it’s really well built. Super robust and it looks the part. Out little guy loves it - especially picking up his sisters Barbies! Only downside (like other top race products we have)….battery life. If you buy this then get a higher capacity battery to save the tears after it runs out after 15 mins. Key thing: make sure you take note of the battery cable connector as they differ between top race vehicles.

Works really well for the price, however you need to purchase a seperate battery with a higher amp hour battery. Comes with 400 amp hour battery which lasted about 20 mins (aas stated in small print). Purchased a 2400 amp hour battery which latest an hour. Why they cant sell it higher amp hour battery?!

I am a mid 30s father and having the time of my life operating this machine to pick up random stuff that my 3 kids throw around or feed directly in through the grabs. They are too small yet to operate the RC but big enough to enjoy seeing this thing going around making noises and treating it nearly like a pet! Battery life is not outstanding, if I exclude the sound that gets me an extra 5 min of uninterrupted play but we are still talking well below the hour mark. All in all, very please with the product and intending to buy more from the same line... Bravo Toprace!

Well made unit, the battery charger was faulty but I sorted it myself. I would suggest buying a spare battery as the one that comes with it is only 400mA and they appear to be the size of 5 AAs. I bought a second battery 2400mA from Amazon complete with charger this gives plenty of run time till you get bored. The machine is quite sturdy and can lift around 240g anything heavier and it tips over, the jaws are strong and grip most things. The remote takes a little getting used to but once you remember what does what it is easy. It has demo button and makes the machine go through a sequence on its own, I like the squeaking noise it makes when travelling - just like the real thing! The engine noise can be turned off. It should have a flashing light on top of the cab instead of inside. When switching on the machine and remote control an acknowledgement tone is heard to confirm units have paired.
