Product QUALITY, EFFECTIVENESS and CUSTOMER SERVICE 5 STARS!
I'm a long time sufferer of migraines and headaches, so have spent close to a grand on therapeutic products. I was incredibly impressed with the build quality of the device, especially as it is meant to be a portable, throwaway device after approximate 20 cycles I believe (I can't remember exactly). It REALLY is a quality bit of kit and on handling the device you can see and feel its strong build quality. You can tell the company takes pride in its product and aimed to provide value for money without compromising on the look or feel of the device.. It also goes to reassure you of the effectiveness of the product, if it's built looking like a quality product, surely that follows into the effectiveness of their device and I'm pleased to say, it certainly does. In very simple terms you could say it's similar to a tens machine, but for the forehead and the relevant nerves that lead to the areas where headaches and migraines develop and it works to block the signal of those nerves to prevent or limit the strength of pain you experience (if used when you already have a headache/migraine. Although I said you could describe it in simple terms as a tens device for the head, it is NOT a tens machine, so if you have a tens machine, DO NOT PUT ELECTRODES on your head or forehead, it would be extremely painful and dangerous to do so thats why tens machine booklets never describe the head or forehead as places to put electrodes! the best you can do with a traditional tens machine is place electrodes on the back of the neck and shoulders to relieve the pressure/pain experienced there, with or prior to, a headache/migraine. The beauty of the Headaterm is that it is tailor made, designed ESPECIALLY for one problem only, to prevent/relieve headaches/migraines. The research and testing gone into this device will be second to none and it has all the relevant registrations required for standards in the relevant jurisdictions, which in itself would have made the company and the device jump through hoops to prove the science behind it, the safety and the effectiveness. So don't go for anything substandard, though to date there IS nothing comparable out there in a portable/throwaway kind and certainly in this price frame. The device when on the forehead, does feel similar to tens machines, in that it's stimulating nerves, and the feeling is heightened due to it being on the forehead, if you're squeamish, you can control/limit the intensity and work your way up. Some (like me) may like the feeling and prefer it at it's highest setting, similar to when you apply a bandana round your forehead tightly to relieve pain or pinch your fingers around your temples. Either way, you are in control and limit how soft you want it. it's the size of a highlighter approx and so transportable in your handbag, schoolbag, briefcase, car etc. So you can use it as soon as you feel a headache or migraine coming on. The operation lasts 20 mins approx and though you may want to repeat the cycle, you'll use up some of it's power as it has a limited life cycle of approx 20 uses. It comes in a well built quality case to house the device, some of the gel patches on blue backing which is applied to the back of the device (for connectivity) and here's another reminder of their terrific attention to detail, a long mirror so you can apply in the optimal place on your forehead. I also praise their CUSTOMER SERVICE who resolved a problem of mine immediately and way beyond my expectations. Customer satisfaction is clearly paramount. They reply promptly and stick with you until you are happy. Top marks. The ONLY negative I see is that I wished they'd design this or a version 2.0 with a replaceable battery compartment, which would increase it's life cycle and reduce waste. You'd still need more of the gel patches for connectivity so that may be why they opted to only have a limited lifecycle device with an all in one package with a pristine case, mirror, several adhesive gel patches and your Headaterm device looking all brand spanking new. Well worth the money. If you're a sufferer, well worth trying, what have you got to lose? Quality product at a decent price. 5 Stars. Happy Customer. (DISCLAIMER: I have NOT been paid or compensated for writing this review, this is a genuine review from a genuine sufferer of headaches and migraines hoping it will help others.) Buy for yourself or for someone else you know who suffers from headaches/migraines.

Waste of money
At first I was happy but 20 mins in and I thought the battery had died. Changed battery still didn't work so proceded to change the gel pads . Still no joy . Waste of time and effort. My migraine just got worse .

Provides some relief
I suffer with doctor diagnosed Migraines. I try to catch an attack with an early Sumatriptan tablet. But if I am not successful in reducing an attack, I suffer a deliberating head pain above the eye and it lasts around 3 days including the hangover period.Whilst I have not found this device to be a wonder cure, I have not found it to be a complete waste of money either. I find that whilst I am using it, it gives a slight relief, whilst delivering a massaging feeling to the nerves above and around the eyes. Just a short soothing feeling, kinda like the feeling given from having a fresh ice pack applied.I find this product easy to use and a good introduction to electro stimulation relief.

Seems to work, worth a go for intractable chronic migraines
Had this for a few days now and so far I've been pleasantly surprised. The device is easy to use, the adhesive sticks well, so you don't end up constantly trying to keep it on your head, and it does seem to have a beneficial effect. The instructions say that the device has a "buzzer" that makes a noise in certain circumstances. If it does, it's really, really quiet because I've never heard it, but otherwise everything functions as it's supposed to. The sensation is barely detectable at first, rising to something like slightly uncomfortable "pins and needles" after a few minutes. There's supposed to be a way to lock the device at your desired intensity by pressing the button again, but I've never got this to work. It's one of the things that's supposed to make a noise, and mine never has, so it's difficult to tell if anything's happened or not. The other thing that's slightly annoying is it's sometimes difficult to tell if you've actually turned the device on. You have to use the (included) mirror to check (again, because the buzzer doesn't buzz). These are all minor niggles though. In terms of effectiveness, I've found that if I reach for the device within a couple of minutes of a migraine starting, I can usually get it to stop. I just put it on my head, set it going and let it run until it stops by itself. When it's finished the migraine is usually gone. In general it will keep them away for at least a few hours. So, it seems to work, and I'm a happy customer. The final test will come when the battery runs out. If that day is still a while away, I'll consider it a great purchase. If it stops working next week, it's maybe not so good. I'll try to remember to update this review when that happens. In either case, it's a welcome treatment for an otherwise intractable problem. If you suffer from chronic migraines you could do a lot worse than this device. Mine don't respond to any drugs except triptans, and those make me want to sleep. While this makes you look like a Borg while you're using it, at least it does seem to work without side effects, and that's got to be a good thing.EDIT: I've bought another of these now. The first one lasted almost a month. £25 for a month of migraine treatment seems ok to me. Especially since it actually works, unlike almost everything else I've tried. Also seems to have a preventative effect. The migraines have been getting fewer and further between. I haven't had one in a week now. Previously I could expect one every day at some point.
