Stay away from these disks. I have been a happy G-Tech user for many years but since they are under Western Digital wings and use SanDisk drives, it is pure crap. My ancient 4 TB drives are still working, whilst my both of my two new 12 TB drives give me trouble every few months. This time both at the same time so I have had to have BackBlaze send me a recovery drive. Never, never again.

I bought this SanDisk Professional G-Drive 22TB to finally stop living in the “which SSD did I put that on?” era. Between photo shoots, video projects, and countless backups, my desktop was starting to look like a data refugee camp. This drive is built like a tank. It feels solid, runs quietly, and transfers files fast enough to make my old external drives look like they’re powered by hamsters. I regularly move 100GB+ project folders, and it chews through them without complaint or overheating. Setup was plug-and-play on both Mac and Windows. I formatted it once for exFAT so I can bounce files between systems without issues, and it’s been flawless since. The fan kicks in occasionally but stays whisper-quiet, which is good because I already have two dogs doing enough background noise. At 22TB, it’s the digital equivalent of a walk-in closet. Sure, it’s pricey, but if your work or memories matter, it’s the kind of investment you thank yourself for later.

Lo recomiendo aunque es bastante caro, por la carcasa metálica que lo hace robusto y consistente, y que entiendo tendrá una protección extra interna que lo protege de golpes hasta cierto punto. Por lo demas es como cualquier otro disco duro hdd

A but on the bully side, but does the job

Ovviamente parliamo di un 7200rpm, non proprio un disco velocissimo o eccezione, ma certamente è sopra i classici 5400rpm. Comodo, spaziosissimo, veloce. Lo uso come seconda copia di foto e video in alta qualità (foto RAW e video in alta risoluzione). Per lavorare i file li sposto da questo disco agli SSD di lavoro. Ottimo, veloce, scattante. Affidabile. Non scalda nemmeno dopo ore di lavoro/collegamento (con l'uso descritto sopra). Carina l'idea di un pulsante che regoli la forza della luce led frontale che indica quando il disco lavora. Leggermente rumoroso, ogni tanto si sentono i cric crac della testina del disco che va avanti e indietro... Ma nulla di fastidioso. Per me è stato un grande affare grazie alle offerte Amazon!
