Exactly what I was looking for, my dog trainer recommended a 20ft lead for training purposes on our property. I went to Tractor Supply and the leashes they have are flimsy and over priced. This leach is tough, comfortable handle for maximum control and a good strong clip. I have a 60lb hound that is going to love this for training and tracking!

Great quality. Strong line with a sturdy and secure clip for fastening to the dog’s collar, and a comfortable handgrip at the other end. When I first started using the long line, it was frustrating because it would get wrapped around my dog’s leg and/or get tangled. I’ve learned the solution to this is to keep the line somewhat taught—so it doesn’t drop to the ground--by letting it out and bringing it in as necessary. My dog loves the long line because she can go sniffing around. She actually walks better with it than on a leash. I bought the long line for recall training (“Come command”). It’s great for that. I let her go out a bit and then if she doesn’t come, she gets a little tug. This lead is very well made. The clip on the end is very secure; I feel sure it can’t pull off the collar. (There is a threaded barrel so you could lock the clip in place. You can see the barrel in the photo near my fingernail. Overkill, I think. To me the barrel was a nuisance, so I glued the barrel to the threads so it stays out of the way.) It helps to wear a glove so that when the lead is not fully extended, you can grab it without ripping up your hand if your dog suddenly pulls.

This has become one of our favorite leashes. I got it for bike joking but we've also used it for sheep herding training. It has some weight to it, very sturdy and well made, comfortable to hold and the padded handle means your hand won't hurt if the dog hits the end of the leash. The carabiner hasn't worn out after months of use. Love that it locks, never have to worry about it coming loose. Great purchase for the price.

I really like this leash—it’s well made and feels high quality. The handle is soft with a comfortable grip, so it doesn’t hurt your hand even if your dog pulls. It’s also the perfect length and highly reflective, which is great for nighttime walks. I love how the clasp locks securely into place. My only concern is that the clasp seems to be made of a softer metal rather than steel, so I’m not sure how sturdy it will be over time or if the spring might loosen. Overall, a great leash with a thoughtful design

UPDATE: we use this leash daily and while it is so well made, I wish the handle was more heavy duty because it’s ripping. See photo. Otherwise still love this leash. We live in the mountains and don’t have a fenced yard and we just adopted a dog a little over a week ago. I purchased the 15 ft leash to give her a little more freedom and work on her recall. So far I absolutely love this leash. Quality is great for our 46 lb dog!

Love this leash, I didn’t pay attention to all the details when ordering, I thought I was ordering a thicker one but it actually worked out better getting the thin one. It’s light weight but strong and long for my dog to have some room to roam. The padded handle is great

Great Leash! I’ve been using it for some time now and am pleased with the quality and the strength of the carabiner. Handle is comfortable and the reflective aspect is quite good. (Large 80lb dog)

I purchased the long lines for three large (75 lbs) dogs because I have had other leashes and ropes break on me. Note: all dogs are trained at advance levels; 2 are trained service dogs and 1 is agility trained. First, I am very happy with the rope. It is a good length and a quality dynamic rope to avoid hurting the dogs or my arm. On the down side, neoprene handles are not of the same quality and began to come apart and rip within the first month. I ended up removing the handles and find the long lines are easier to handle without them. I am most disappointed in the hardware. They in no way match the durability of the rope. In the last three months under normal use 1 snap link hook brock during a pulling exercise, 1 snap link swivel wore out and fell apart while walkung, and 3rd snap link is showing signs of metal fatigue. I have ended up having to replace all the snap thinks with better quality hooks from the hardware store. I am generally satisfied with this product, and even knowing I would have to replace snap links, would buy these ling lines again.

Heavy duty - our retriever man pup chews everything. He has very poor recall and this has been great to hive him extra space whilst being trained.

I ordered two of these for my dogs. They are really comfortable to hold and feel sturdy. They don’t get knotted and stay light when wet from being dragged through puddles and wet grass. The carry bags are really handy and I reel the leads up at the end of a walk and store them in the bag. I leave the handle out of the bag and that stays dry even if the leads are wet. Great buy and really pleased.

These are great!! The quality is really good. Well made. Love that little bit of stretch in the heavy duty cording. The length is perfect for our little pullers. BUT....on two occasions the locking mechanism has opened with movement of the dogs. They got loose!!! Scared the crap out of us... for something we thought was safe. Everyone is OK, but we are checking and rechecking these locks whenever they are being used. Shouldn't be that way. I bought them partly because of this feature. I should be asking for my money back, but I will look for a piece of hardware that will double hook the leash to their harnesses.

I have bought 2 of these leads ( one for my wifes car and one for mine)for my border collie who pulls a lot at times. I am very impressed at how strong the latch is that secures onto the harness.it is very secure and sturdy and feel safe walking my dog. I would highly recommend it.

Just perfect. Didn't want a retractable. Needed strength without excessive weight. Needed security. This has been perfect for walking our newly re-homed 23kg boy......easy to hold, easy to gather up, comfy handle and doesn't tangle. Strong rope & secure carabiner.
