Awesome sturdy boot
Bought these boots for the 2020 hunting season and they were awesome!!! They fit well, plenty of support, no blisters, easy to break in, great overall boot. They are comfortable enough that I can wear them all day, hiking or not, and they still feel great. I condition the leather with bee's wax every three or big hiking days, and I have had 0 problems with water getting. I will definitely be using these boots as long as I can!

Danner pronghorn
The most comfortable boots ever, right out of the box

Not like the old pronghorn style at all
I literally wore out my last pair of Dannebrog pronghorn boots (purchased 2016). They were comfortable right out of the box. Purchased these & they are not the same boot at all. Too narrow (I wear a woman’s 10 and purchased a man’s 8. If they are too narrow for me, I can’t imagine how they fit a man’s foot). Toe box is very stiff & presses down on the toes. The heel cap fits oddly and rubs blisters at the top of the heel. I returned & purchased directly from Danner (thinking maybe the ones from Amazon were counterfeit), but the 2nd pair was just as bad. Spent a couple of weeks trying to break them in before giving up. Bring back the old design!

Width
Boots are well made and light. They are a little too narrow I got the 14EE I really need the 14EEEE but danner doesn't offer them that I know of. Overall I really like the boot.

No break-in required
Bought this boot for a hunting trip. Laced them on right out of the box and walked 25 miles over three days No hot spots or blisters. Wonderful boot!

Comfort out of the box.
After hiking the John Muir Trail in a pair of Danner Mountaim 600s with out getting a single blister, I thought I'd look into a pair of Danners with a stiffer sole and more ankle support for quail and chukar hunting. These did not disappoint. They fit well out of the box. I wore them around the house and to work for about 2 days prior to hitting the mountain. I spent two days of hunting quail opener and tackling some rugged terrain with out any problems and my feet and ankles felt great. I would definitely recommend the Pronghorns as a reasonably priced hunting boot the is worth price.

quality boot but runs narrow
As soon as I opened the box I was shocked at how narrow the boot looked. I got a 14D and it was a hard squeeze to get my foot into it since it was so narrow. This was a disappointment given danners quality reputation. They appear to be a quality boot that would hold up well if they ran true to size.

Husband bought these for a bear hunt in Montana
My husband is an avid hunter and fisherman. He loves these boots and says he wishes he would have bought them sooner. He bought them for a weeklong bear hunting trip in Montana climbing rocky slopes. He’s wore them many times since in varying terrain and they seem like they will last him for years.
