Why did you choose this product over others?: The chairs are sturdy, stylish and look great in the garden, real quality wood and fixings, well worth the extra money spent. They feel like they will last us a long time.

Bought 6 chairs to extend our outdoor dining chair options for a birthday party weekend. They fold and are fairly lightweight (delivered assembled, but folded - 2 in a robust cardboard box). They survived a couple of days of use and I expect they will continue to be useful. Adults up to 90kg used them repeatedly on slightly uneven lawn for a couple fo days, so reasonable test. We will keep them out of the rain. On arrival I checked each chair for quality of manufacture. Made of acacia wood and do not require immediate wood treatment, although may give them a light rub over with teak oil for the winter. The wooden elements are not overly robust and joints are important: one or two of the joints coincide with imperfections in the wood making them vulnerable to twisting forces or are in the middle of lengths making them vulnerable to sideways forces and are liklely to prove the points of failure in due course. The chairs are slightly lower than dining chairs and lean back a little more than is ideal for dining. We therefore had 60mm thick cushions made up for the chairs which costs 80% of the cost of the chairs without cushions! They have met our need and should be useful in future, but do not expect them to last too long if you use them repeatedly on uneven hard surfaces with over 100kg sitters who wriggle around.

Good quality, well packaged, reasonably priced strong folding chairs. Without arms they fold very flat and take up very little space in storage when the weather is bad as I have always preferred not to leave anything outside in the pouring rain. I also have a matching folding table and free standing large parasols to allow shade exactly where I want it over as many chairs as I purchase and I do intend to have more. Would happily recommend.

Came assembled in a strong cardboard box. Ready to use, a nice size, weight and feel all good.

These chairs are frankly poor quality. Compared to other brands, they are light weight, don't stay folded very easily and appear to be made from poor quality wood. After just over one year (most of which stored in a shed) this chair broke, on what looks like a fault (knot). I sent an email to the company, politely giving details, and the reply was 'sorry it's warranty has ended'. It appears their customer care has ended too. No apology or offer of replacement. I would not recommend these chairs.
