The motor is strong, the build is solid, and the design allows for easy maintenance with replaceable parts. The shave itself is unmatched - the absolute closest I’ve ever gotten from an electric razor, and it handles my thick facial hair effortlessly. Battery life is excellent, and the fact that it can also run corded if needed is a great bonus. Things to Note for Best Performance & Longevity: My barber stressed how important regular cleaning is. I make sure to frequently brush out the cutting bars using the included cleaning brush to keep performance optimal. I also purchased Wahl shaver oil and apply a very small amount to the cutting bars regularly. This keeps friction with the gold foils to a minimum, helping preserve both performance and foil integrity. Maintenance is key to keeping this shaver working like new - and with proper care, I truly look forward to using this shaver for many years to come. Final Verdict: Wahl absolutely nailed it with the Vanish. It’s built for results, not gimmicks. If you’re serious about getting a top-tier super close electric shave, look no further. 100% worth every cent. Also to note - a light touch is all it takes. Let the shaver do the cutting. Anything more than a light touch could damage the thin gold foil and affect shaver performance, all you need is a light touch against the grain of growth and the hair vanishes.

This is a great electric shaver that gives a smooth, close shave. It doesn't irritate the skin and most importantly for me it doesn't rip the hair from your face. I only shave every 3 or 4 days and it takes off that growth perfectly. I recently purchased a Braun Series 7 and it was just too painful to use. It rips the hair from your face. I threw it away after 3 weeks. This shaver is perfect for me, it is small and lightweight, takes up very little room when you travel and fits great in your hands. Battery life is perfect. I an take it on trips without needing to bring the cord and it lasts and lasts. For the price it may just be the best shaver on the market right now.

It is rare that an upgrade is actually worth the purchase and not just a bunch of marketing gimmicks but this one truly is worth it. I have been using the older Finale model for about 10 years and it finally died. The new Vanish cuts much faster and smoother and cut the time down to shave my head in about half. I love having a battery level display with the LED lights and the ability to change out individual foils instead of the whole set. Rare to see companies actually innovating these days but thank you to l for improving your product.

This replaced a Babyliss Pro Foil FX 02 who's battery was dying. It's not as flashy looking as the metal bodied chrome Babyliss. But it's not near as heavy, is easier to hold and use and gives me a much smoother shave! The only issue I had was receiving it new with a torn foil head. I would have returned it to exchange for another, but Amazon's new return process is a pain (would have had to drive and drop it off in another nearby city). I only needed a new folihead, so reached out directly to WAHL and was sent a complete new foilhead & blades, no charge and no questions asked. You couldn't ask for better service! Highly recommend!
