Quality without paying top price for branded product
I've had one of these running in my top pasture for years. It's out lasted and out performed my gemini energiser

Lasted less than a year - avoid at all costs
It worked well and was easy to install, but in less than a year it had stopped working. No external damage, and had been kept under a plastic box so it wasn't exposed to the weather, but just stopped working. We bought another - it lasted a bit longer than a year - but not much. We were sent a replacement for the one that broke within a year (although I had to pay postage!) and that one also lasted less than a year. I have now tried this make 6 times and every single unit has lasted either less than a year, or just a month or so longer than a year. AVOID. They are clearly not fit for purpose. I have to assume the quality is simply very poor and they aren't made to be used for any period. I shall not be wasting my money again with these - they may be a bit cheaper to buy, but in the long run they work out very expensive.

Fabulous service , good product
Ordered 2 off these units , 1 unit perfect , works exactly as it should , 2nd unit unfortunately stopped working after 4 months , the company however sent me out a brand new unit immediately to replace it , working in electronics myself for over 12 years this can happen for no reason so I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this product , electric fence is on day and night and these affordable little energizers do the job perfectly

Packs a decent zap. As I found out.
I own a stallion, he’s in a field with his companion gelding next to a field of my mares. I opted for x-stop because it’s a brand I do know, other battery operated electric fence energisers I’ve used in the past didn’t live up to the hype. This energiser is hooked up to an Agri Battery (meant for electric fencers) and a solar panel. My little Stallion will not touch the fence (and neither do I when it’s on!) it’s got a rather cloud *click* when it pulses, so if you have a horse that tests fences because it can’t hear the unit making a sound (which I have found a lot are pretty quiet) this may do the trick. May have helped my guy was actually soaked with rain when he first touched it. The energiser itself is sturdy, and heavier than most, meaning even in strong winds, secured to an electric fence post it barely moves. The earth stake is also pretty sturdy with a decent length of wire so if like me you have a rocky type field, it’s got enough length to find a decent spot to put it deep enough into the ground to earth properly. The heart loop that attaches to the fence is ideal, hasn’t moved from where I hooked it up and even in strong winds hasn’t slipped off or moved which I have found with normal crocodile clips. The wires that hook to the battery are also a decent length, so if you have mouthy youngsters (or even cows) you can attach it far enough away from the fence to stop them playing with it. All wires are pretty sturdy, as are the attachments. You honestly can’t go wrong with this energiser. Has a decent shock, it secures my little stallion and is value for money.

good value
This is a cheaply priced fence energiser and worked straight out of the box. I have installed it in a further outer protective box with all the wires at the bottom to guard against our rainy weather in the UK. It has been switched on continuously for 12 months now and is still working fine. It has a strong output judging by the spark I can get. The energiser is quite small compared to most and feels heavy, I think the circuitry has been encapulated in epoxy to guard against moisture, which is usually what kills solid state fence energisers. Therefore if it ever did develop a fault, it would not be repairable. I would make sure rain cannot wick up the cables by shielding it against direct rainfall.

Company Very Helpful
I bought the energiser in August this year along with a new battery. When the energiser failed in November, I contacted the company and they couldn’t have been more helpful. They suggested some things to try, which I did but unfortunately it still didn’t work. I sent it back on Wednesday and have received a brand new energiser this morning (Saturday). Excellent customer service and very prompt reply to messages.
