The wool does an excellent job at easily removing even the most stubborn stains. It only requires the lightest of pressure. I was concerned they might scratch the glass so I used the lightest of touch which basically polished off the marks. The sponge side will clear the dust/residue left behind after polishing with the wool. Trust me, don't bother with any of the chemical cleaners these are more effective. And depending how long these last I might just buy some 0000 grade steel wool. . Review: Definitely Works! - I thought these would be a gimmick, but were so cheap I thought I'd try them. I burn wood and house coal on an Esse stove and I'd been using window cleaner sprays and cleaning gel etc, but these pads are superb and way quicker, cleaner and easier to use. It’s required quite a lot of scrubbing and effort so far. The one window I’ve done looks brand new and clean. It’s probably been 6 months ish since it was last done.
