Good product cost effective
Cicatape is the only kind of scar tape that doesn’t come off during daily use, and imo also the cheapest. Compared to scaraway it is stickier and also has more stickiness duration. It’s also not single use like mepitac. For me neither mepitac or scaraway tape actually keep their stick if you wash them off with dawn dish soap, so it’s the only one that really works for me. Mepitac is about 3 dollars cheaper, but it comes off way too easily during normal use and is technically only meant to be used once so cicatape is more effective for me. If scaraway actually stayed sticky for more than one use I might like it but since it doesn’t no way am I buying 6 small tabs for 19 bucks. With cicatape you get a roll that lasts a month or more, and I have quite a bit of scarring so it’s a lot. I’m healing quite well, and I have no idea if it’s due to the silicone tape or not but it’s scientifically proven to be one of the only things so I’ll do it. I’ve recently bought a cheaper generic silicone tape from Amazon and hate it. Not as sticky not as effective keeps coming off. Cicatape is king

Works, but takes time
I have tried several different keloid scar silicone liquids, gels and pads. All have been effective in one way or another but with some undesired affects. I have found the CicaTape to be the most comfortable and effective without any experienced undesired affects. Although it does not provide as dramatic a result as some other tapes, I find that I can leave these on for longer periods of time without blistering and the do not peel off or require any supplemental adhesion to keep them on while I sleep. I sleep with them on and they are still there in the morning exactly where I put them. I also love that they are in perforated sheets that can easily be torn off, cut to shape and are easy to peel away from the backing. The pads are extremely thin making them better form to my scars, and makes them barely noticeable while I am wearing them. I have gone out in public with them still on my face without realizing it. I have been using these pads for several months now and have ordered multiple rolls. My scars are gradually diminishing in size and normal color is returning. It is taking a little longer than I would like. but my scars didn't appear overnight, and they won't disappear overnight either. So I am being patient about it. but I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!!!

Soooo much more comfy than others
So far, I really like this tape. I had purchased the areoma (I don’t know how to spell it) silicone tape and while it is thick, it didn’t stick as much as I wanted. It would roll and once it rolled, that part of the tape was destroyed. I got this tape four days ago and i put it on right away. I immediately saw and felt the difference. The silicone on this tape isn’t excessive and it sticks soooo much better than the other one. I’ve been wearing it for four days and it is still on and going strong. I took a shower with it and i was surprised at how it didn’t peel off. I had a breast reduction so I didn’t need the tape to be super wide. I cut the strips in half and that worked perfectly. I love that you can tear the tape as you go. It is easy to tear off but it is also durable enough to stay put in one strip without tearing. The pictures I posted are after four days of wearing the tape. The scabs and dark spots surrounding the tape are from other brands of silicone tape I used. Those pulled and irritated my skin. This one is so comfortable and it softens as the days go by. Sometimes I forget that I’m wearing it. My scars are super sensitive without a barrier, so this tape really helps with the sensitivity. This tape is almost unnoticeable. I have a surgical scar on my armpit too and you can hardly see the tape. I use deodorant and it doesn’t affect the tape at all. I think I’ll be able to keep the tape I have on for a few more days. As far as the scar healing process, I can’t say much about it now. I will update if I see any or no change at all. For the price, I’m really surprised by the quality. The other tape I purchased was $30 and I got about 8 strips that didn’t last long. They were useless after a weeks of use... all of them. This tape is 59 inches long and almost 2 inches wide. The way I’m using means that I’m doubling up on the length. I definitely recommend this tape for now.

CicaTape Soft Silicone Tape – A Soothing Support
I have grown to love the CicaTape Soft Silicone Tape for its effectiveness and comfort. The dimensions (1.57in x 59in) provide ample coverage for various applications, and the soft silicone material is gentle on the skin. This tape has been a reliable support for minor cuts, abrasions, or as an extra layer for wound protection. Its flexibility and adherence make it easy to apply and conform to different areas of the body. While it's a staple in my first aid kit, the reason for the four-star rating is that the roll can be a bit challenging to cut precisely. A more user-friendly cutting mechanism would enhance the overall experience. In conclusion, CicaTape Soft Silicone Tape is a favorite for its soothing properties and versatility, making it a valuable addition to any home or travel first aid kit. A solid four stars!

sticks great , its only been a few days since i have used it , and still is very sticky . the recent open heart surgery cut seems to look way less pink and seems to be working even though its a few days. i even sleep with it on and no issues like i have read - it is very sticky, but easy to remove . and can be used over and over . after time it just looks dirty , used , and beat up from use, but this is normal wear an tear. another thing i like is i dont have to use tape and guaze to cover the cut, i dont like looking at this scar and this tape is awesome, it does 2 things, it covers the wound/scarand sticks great without any use for other tapes, and it hides the pink/raw cut. u can still see through it a little , but all in all i dont see a raw cut - im happy with this so far - i will update in a few weeks with the outcome - -UPDATE --- its 2 weeks since i wrote the review , the color of the scar is great, it is not that ugly raw pink color anymore . it is healing great, and im sure this has helped a great deal.. the scar looks good, i hate looking at it , but this has made it a little easier, not being so raw looking. i will be using this for a few months to see how well it heals - this is a new incision, not an old one .so i cant speak about old scars. i will update here an there, to help some1 decide to try it or not , but im very pleased so far. not only does it cover the wound , but it can be used over and over , im not spending money on tape and guaze anymore, it sticks great to clean dry skin and is easy to remove . it changed the look and color of this new incision so far. 3 years update. The scar from the surgery is very hard to see I used the tape for a full year and a half limited the length of time it was on and kept it on when I felt like I didn’t want to be reminded of my cut. I’m not sure if it was my doctors great work or this tape. But I’m verrrry pleased and happy with the scar I look at daily. I’m sure this had a lot to do with the healing of the cut. 100% love this tape. I have this in my cabinet still to this day.

Simply the BEST for SCARS!!!! Don't buy the expensive silicone strips!!
I was buying silicon strips for a big patch of keloid scar on the back of my hand sustained from a bad motorcycle crash. I bought this in addition to the other very expensive kinds, as this is cheap and highly reviewed, without any expectation. I now absolutely have given up the other thick juicy kinds that just don't stay put!! This stuff is thin, sticky and therefore pliable enough for secure contact with my hand, and a strip just lasts and lasts and lasts! I can even wear my motorcycle glove over it without peeling it off like the expensive kind (which I would lose in bed simply from moving about in my sleep). Of course it survives hand wash and showers. My keloid scar is much flattened and softened and I'm planning to just wear it to protect the scar from abrasion with gloves, sun and other elements. A month and a half has passed, I only used four 3-inch strips! I switch between 2 strips every day or two (I peel it off to give the skin a breather every day or when I get really sweaty in the hot summer, this can get a little funky underneath due to being waterproof and not breathable). I wash the one with hand soap to air dry, put the other one on. The only reason I'd throw a couple away at all, is due to the perimeter getting rubbed and dirty from me wearing motorcycle and gardening gloves. I think for normal folk that don't wear gloves, this one box will easily last half year or more, especially if you just use scissors to trim off the dirty worn out edges.

Very thin, fragile, not for reuse, and expensive.
Medical Grade Silicone Tape "Cica tape" Made in USA: Tape is packaged in a small cardboard box: 2 in. high, 2 in. x 1 3'4 wide (my measurements using a steel ruler). Box says tape is 1.57 in x 59 in. It is described as medical grade silicone tape. Tape is "flesh toned" brown in color. PROS: 1. Tape is easy to peal off plastic backing. 2. Tape is a tad over 1.5 in. wide and perforated for easy tear every 2 inches (again my measurement with a steel ruler). 3. I have been able to remove long strips of tape (8 to 10 in.) without the perforations tearing. 4. Assuming you have not applied some oil or lotion to your skin, the tape seems to stick well. 5. It appears waterproof as I took a hot soapy shower and it did not come off. 6. Price is less than half what I have paid for silicone tapes and patches in the past. Price is the primary attraction for me to try this product. CONS: 1. The tape is very thin, about the same as a plastic band aid. 2. The tape is stuck to a plastic substrate that is much thicker and coiled into a roll that gives the impression of having more tape than if rolled around a thinner substrate and one not so wide. 3. When the tape is pealed off the substrate it is so thin, it has a tendency to curl over on sides and ends, Care has to be taken to keep it flat for application. 4. Because it is so thin, care is needed when handling it to avoid stretching it. 5. This is advertised a "medical grade silicone tape". I am not disputing that it has silicone, but that's hard to tell because the tape looks like a plastic bandaid tape. I couldn't see or detect a silicone layer on the adhesive side of the tape. It may be there but it is extremely thin. 6. If you apply and then peel off the tape, because it is so very thing, it is very difficult to stick it on a plastic substrate to save for reuse. It tends to curl up and wrinkle and not lay flat. For those reasons, I consider it one time use tape. 7. As a one time use tape for what is usually a long term therapy, this is an expensive tape of lessor quality than those I have had experience with in past years and in not a bargain in any fashion. ASSESSMENT: I do not recommend this product for the following reasons. Silicone patches and tapes have worked for me in reducing surgical scars and burn scars which I am still treating. have used silicone patches and tapes over the years and all have been much thicker and even the thinnest showed a visible silicone layer. Most were provided as part of physical therapy and quite expensive and not always easy to purchase over the counter. However all had a thicker layer of silicone in some instances a gel that could be visibly seen and felt. All were easy to apply, remove and reuse and all lasted a a long time (many months--I silll have some old pieces from years ago. I am resuming treatment after a long period of time, so I decided to take a chance on an unknown product based on it's cheap price. Is this tape really silicone and will it work for scars and burns? Your guess is as good as mine. The company alleges it is silicone tape and I'm not going to dispute that. I have no idea how thick the silicone layer needs to be in order to be medical effective. Applying silicone tape and patches for scar removal is a long term therapy often lasts many months or even a years. I consider this Cica Medical Grade Silicone Tape good for one time use and having unknown medical effectiveness because it is so thin with handling, application, removal and reuse are all very problematic. In addition I can't detect a layer of silicone on the tape, so I don't really know what I am getting. For all those reasons I don't recommend this tape. My suggestion is to consider asking a physical therapist or nurse what products they recommend for scar removal and burns.

Works wonders
This product is by far the best silicone scar treatment available on the market. I recently had a breast reduction and was told to get scar sheets to address some problematic scaring that was developing post-op. I tend to get keloid scars, which put me at higher risk of problematic scarring. I tried countless other brands of scar sheeting in different shapes and sizes before finding this product, but few adhered well, most were hard to shape to the surgical site correctly, and most did not have enough material in one package to even cover all of the scars - which became really expensive, really fast. This product is thinner than most, but I found out that this makes it work much better. It adheres wonderfully and I can easily use the same sheets for 2 weeks without issues with adhesion. I tend to take them off every other day to bathe, but I have showered in them and swam in them without issue. The easy tear sheets make it simple to get pieces in the desired size for various areas, which is a huge plus. And most importantly, they work incredibly well. Within a few days, certainly less than a week, I began to notice a huge difference in my scars. Some of the scars were practically gone after two months of use, when my doctor said to expect to wear silicone sheets for about 6 months. I am continuing to use this product for the time recommended by my doctor and I bet by then end I’ll have practically no visible scarring. I have purchased this product three times so far in the past 3 months and am about to place another order. I suggest you do the same.

Excellent scar tape
I'm 16 days post-op on a breast reduction and my scabs are almost completely gone, combining this with the cicaplast b5 scar treatment has made my healing process a breeze with minimal oozing and itching It easily stays on for a few days and is also easy to peel and re-stick even combined with gauze, steri-strips, butterfly bandages and other external bandaging like compression bandages Great product and I'll probably be using it again if I get a tubal ligation later this year It works really well to protect fresh stitching and healing incisions, scarring seems like it'll be minimal too Usually I'm prone to keloids but everything is healing great so far, nice and flat and even

Great product
Works as needed for reducing redness of my scarring. Able to reuse the strips more than once which makes the price worth it. The adhesive is strong but not irritating for my skin. Easy to pull off without stretching my skin.
