The consistency is perfect, it’s thick enough that it actually stays on the toothbrush instead of sliding off, so you can get straight into brushing without the mess. It was a nice surprise that it came with a finger brush. That’s been really handy for getting around the back teeth and for moments when they won’t sit still long enough for a normal brush. The toothpaste itself spreads well, doesn’t smell strange, and both of my dogs accept it without any fuss. It is gentle on their gums and doesn’t irritate their mouths. My older dog especially is sensitive, and he’s been absolutely fine with this. Their breath has definitely improved, and their teeth look cleaner when I use it regularly.
