We bought this 8ft dryer vent to go with our new dryer, and it’s been exactly what we needed. The length was perfect to reach the exterior vent without any strain or awkward bends. Works great. Plastic wrapped foil. Sturdy. Better than the home stores. If you need to make a 90 degree turn, pick up an elbow such as Whirlpool sells.

There are so many choices out there for this kind of product. I have purchased many and installed several. In the flexible hose category I found it to be an excellent value. It is insulated, more durable than most, stretches to 6-8 feet, and come with two clamps for installation. Note: I have used the more rigid, much more costly aluminum hose, and while it works great if you don't run into a problem. However, there are potential issues: -the design is no more than thicker aluminum foil that is pressed and glued at the seams. This means that if you stretch too much, the seams will weaken and frustrate your installation, or come apart later on its own. -What's worse is that you don't know how much is too much to stretch; they typically say 8 feet, but you may run into this if you stretch it past five or six. So for ordinary home use, I find the flexible plastic to be the best route. The downside to plastic hoses is that they eventually break down from the heat, but this takes years depending on the use. But this particular hose has an insulated interior and also has a rubber exterior coating, making it more durable. The package arrived fast, secure and small. I highly recommend it.

Nicest dryer vent hose I ever purchased and I’ve purchased a few. I think this one may actually last a while. It is attractive as far as dryer vent hoses go.
