We wanted to install some additional shelves in our guest bedroom closet for additional storage. We already had some built-ins from the original build, so we really didn't want these to look like a cheep copycat job. We were able to get matching melamine surfaced shelving from the hardware store, but they didn't at the time have edge banding to match in stock. So we ordered this and it worked great. The color match was spot on (white) and the heat sensitive adhesive worked perfectly. I already had edge banding tools and experience from other wood working projects, so application and trimming was a snap. If you don't have edge banding tools you might want to get some if you are going to do more than a few such projects. They are not very expensive. But if you will only do something small you could get by with a steady hand and a good razor knife.

Works great. Used on the edge of white shelves that don’t have the finished edge. Was easy to iron on and break off the extra hang over areas. The white matched the white of the shelf and made it look like a clean finish.

The product works well. It adheres to the particle board as I expected. The material could be a little bit thicker. It is exactly 3/4 of an inch, which is perfect for the melamine I used. My only issue was whoever packaged it in the Amazon package, forgot to seal it. When I picked up the package, it was empty! Using the automated system, I was able to have another one sent next day.

Bought this to finish the edges of some shelves. Used an iron and a towel, so easy. No issues. 6 months later and all is still good.

Worked well on a cabinet job I finished. It goes on well and does not come off or bubble. Takes paint well also. Also did not have to trim as much either.

Almost everyone I know has some white laminated furniture of some kind somewhere in their house. We have some Ikea furniture and other items , on which the edges have broken or are so old they need to be replaced. This tape works like a wonder. Others have noticed it is brittle. This is true at the beginning, when you are applying it. You have to be careful (see video I made here) but you can use the hot iron to repair almost anything the way I showed in my video. You just apply the hot iron and wrinkles or even cuts are repaired. You get enough tape to redo almost anything that happens at a later time. Highly recommended.

I just got this and tested a piece. This is exactly 3/4 in wide which means it’s too narrow for 3/4 melamine sheet. You’ll need the 1” wide banding for 3/4 melamine.

Nice edges banding for diy projects. Adds a nice finish to the edge of projects!

J'ai acheté ce ruban pour réparer des armoires, mais je suis très déçu. La bande est beaucoup trop fine, presque transparente, ce qui fait qu'on voit les imperfections du bois en dessous. De plus, elle se casse très facilement lors de la manipulation ou au moment d'araser les bords. La qualité n'est pas au rendez-vous pour de la rénovation sérieuse.

Save your money, this product is brittle and not durable. It is chipping off everywhere already.

White melamine edge banding sticks easily and stays in place after heating. Cutting it to size is simple and it presses down smoothly on cabinet edges.
