Murder in Minnesota: A Collection of True Cases

Murders in early Minnesota History.
Walter Trenerry wrote a very interesting book about various murders in Minnesota History. As a history buff I liked the book very much. Mr. Trenerry points out that Minnesota was a very unlawful place in its early history. Many murderers were lynched by friends of the victums. Minnesota governors had to assert law and order in the state by stopping lynching and making it a point of executing the murderers. The most recent murder he talks about was in 1917. I would have liked it if he had gone into more recent murders but as he pointed out things don't take place in a vacumn. If he talked about more recent ones it might have effected some of the survivors. Mr. Trenerry added an interesting list at the end of the book describing all of the executions in Minnesota before it outlawed capital punishment.

Info is Good; Author is Not!
The information in this book is interesting, but the author is clearly sexist and racist. He thinks he's living in the past where Black people are still called Negros and women are not equals.

Murder in Minnesota
Local historical stories about Murders that took place in Minnesota. Most stories 100 years old or older. Includes a story about the Cook family near Audubon, Minnesota, who were murdered by two wandering Indians and the aftermath of that incident.

I got the book which is not self understanding with an uninsured shipping from America. It's interesting and in a readable condition. Not as new, but at least it doesn't smell of smoke. That's good. And when it's smells like that, I can't read it.Thanks a lotElias
