Can this be used for fine ground leaves and spices ?

Yes, you can use finely ground leaves and spices. The mesh is almost undetectable. This is really the best strainer I have ever used.

Is this microwave safe, if I make tea directly in the microwave?

You cannot put ANY TYPE of metal inside the microwave. I suggest you warm up your water first remove from the microwave and then add your looseleaf tea and let it step on the counter.

What are the measurements for the small?

The small Reinmoson Tea Infuser is perfect for a single cup of tea, 2.25in high and 1.5in wide. It will fit into a multitude of containers.
