Short Stories In Italian for Beginners Volume 2

Books came fast and in perfection condition! A great learning tool.

I've also read Volume 1 in this series, as well as several other "Italian short stories for beginners" anthologies available here on Amazon, and the Olly Richards books are among the best available. The main reason is that the stories are actually stories, and not just (boring) descriptions of everyday life like some other Italian readers. I actually liked this collection a little more than Volume 1 because I thought the stories were a bit better crafted and more interesting than in the first book. One issue I have with the book is the vocabulary lists at the end of each chapter. The lists are valuable, and they include not just words, but phrases. The issue is that sometimes it's hard to tell if the phrase is just a literal translation of the text to aid comprehension, or if it is an idiomatic phrase that one should pay special attention to because it's used in everyday Italian.

It was very fun to read. Simple lenguaje that made it very easy to understand.

I finished volume one and volume 2 is as good as the first one. This one is a little bit more complicated. The sentences are more elaborate and the verbs have more conjugations. It makes it a good tool for those who are learning the language.

I really enjoyed reading these short stories in Italian; easy to follow , understand and fun from start to finish; short enough to not tire a beginner but also just right to keep the interest and challenge the comprehension step by step

Cute storied and very doable.

Two excellent books by Olly Richards for Italian learners (both volume 1 & 2 are fabulous). His chapters are just the right length as are each short story (3 chapters for each short story). After each short story there are vocabulary words, a summary and a few comprehension questions at the end. I bought the Kindle edition which allowed me to highlight words or phrases to study later. This is an excellent series for Italian language learners. I'm on to the Intermediate level as well as the Spanish editions...thanks Olly!

It was entertaining and different so I enjoyed that aspect. On the other hand there were expressions and maybe even tenses used that I didn't think I would use again in trying to learn to converse in Italian.

je travaille l'italien depuis quelques mois et ce petit recueil de nouvelles est très efficace pour apprendre du vocabulaire et des expressions je vous le recommande !!

I thought the book was good. It was as described and like the others in my collection. I enjoy learning italian and this gives me the lessons in language i need to learn as i go along.
