This does exactly what it says on the tin. - If you have a dog who gulps his food down quickly then all I can say is BUY ONE NOW!! I have 3 dogs, one of whom eats particularly quickly. It takes her less than 15 seconds to eat 150g of dry food. I've tried all sorts of measures including silicone mats with raised bobbly bits (she's too clever for that - she just flips it over with her nose) and tennis balls in her bowl (she's too clever for that too - she just picks them out and drops them on the floor before inhaling her food). It doesn't slide over the floor . We put the bowl in the middle of the kitchen so she can walk around it (we are not too cruel). We have a tiled floor, but it stays in one place. We use it for her dry food, when she gets wet food (e.g. tripe or sardines) , I use her old bowl. This is mainly because I don't want to spent a long time to get all the bits out. The bowl can be put in the dishwasher, but I just rinse it out and it looks like new. It's easy to clean for what it is but obviously it's a bit trickier than washing your regular bowl. It has rubberised bottom that prevents it from being pushed around the room whilst eating.
