Very cute, just the right size
Took a while to arrive, but it's a very cute teapot, works very well. It doesn't put as much steam out as our previous big glass kettle, and I like that since it's near a cupboard. The ONLY downside is it collects water around the chrome ring above the base and hard water stuff has started to build up there. Another place to spray vinegar for cleaning. The SS inside doesn't seem to collect hard water deposits as fast as a glass kettle. We have water so hard it's like rocks coming out of the faucet, so it's an issue you may not have.Heats up really fast, easy to fill, easy to pour, not too heavy, stylish, what's not to like? The cobalt color is lovely, too.

Best appliance I never knew I needed
So much faster to boil than stovetop kettles - bought this when I didn't have a working stove, and so glad I did, boils water so fast, and love the retro look, chose the Glacier Blue - love it!

Heats fast
Great little electric kettle. Heats up 32 oz (4 cups) of water in 6 minutes. I like the way it pours. Perfect for making 2 large mugs of tea.

This is a beautiful electric kettle!
At last an electric kettle that turns off when the water has boiled. I had a series of glass kettles which I liked a lot but they would go on boiling the water well after they should have turned off. This kettle was recommended to me by a friend and I'm very happy with it. It's elegant and pours neatly from the curved spout. Somewhat pricey, so I hope it lasts a long time.

Pretty Kettle; No plastic parts to boil
I bought this tea kettle not too long ago and I think it is the perfect pot. First of all, the color is very pretty. I bought the robin egg blue kettle but I think this comes in other colors. The most important aspect is that it is all metal in the boiling chamber. This means you are not boiling plastic and potentially releasing carcinogens every time you boil. Secondly, it has a metal gauge in the pot to tell you how much water you are adding. I usually boil enough for just one cup of tea but if more is needed, the kettle boils up to 4 cups. Perfect for a tea party of 4. If more is needed, the pot heats up very fast. The only thing that may be a negative is the short electric cord. If you have a kitchen countertop like mine where there are electric outlets for counter top appliances, this is not a problem and is indeed a plus. You don't want extra cord on the countertop. If you don't have an electric outlet near your countertop, then you might have to get an extension cord. I love this kettle! I bought this kettle for $59.95. Since Amazon sometimes doesn't have the best prices, I googled other stores and this kettle sells about the same price in other stores. You should check the prices.

Fast boiling time
Use every day. Quick to boil and smooth pouring and precise spout. Nontoxic due to stainless construction. Bought 3 of these to have in multiple locations. My first time reviewing on Amazon after 5 years of shopping. Felt compelled to share my experience. Love this kettle.

Dysfunctional cord length
I almost sent it back because of the stupidly short cord. From my kitchen counter in the USA to the wall outlet where the cord prongs must be plugged in measures 7 1/2 inches. The tiny tiny cord won’t extend long enough for its prongs to be plugged into my standard kitchen counter wall socket. It’s obviously not made for American standards. But the kettle itself was so darling that I decided to keep it because I had bought yhe $10 extra insurance warranty to cover it for a few years’ worth of function.Beware of making this purchase because the dysfunctional plastic base has an idiotically wrong cord length. In order to plug the cord prongs into the kitchen counter wall socket I had to buy a 3 and 1/2 inch round plant stand to put the kettle on so as to have the cord perfectly reach the wall socket. It heats water fast and automatically shuts off and the handle stays cool but the cord that is wound around the plastic base won’t pull out far enough for actual use. Until I bought the wooden plant stand to set it on I had to turn various kitchen containers upside down to put the kettle on so I could test it to be sure it heated water. That is ridiculous and a long extension cord would have been so ugly on the kitchen counter.I would never have made the purchase if I had heeded the one other person’s comment I had read that said the cord is too short. All the other comments were glowing so I took a chance and got burned.Know before you buy that it is buyer beware of the city d which only extends about five inches.
