Easy to use and good insights
This is typical Peloton quality; it's easy to set up and does what it does really well. The tracking for the activities has proven to be accurate most of the time and gives me some great feedback for the moves I'm doing to improve my form and reduce injury risks. The ability to tie to my TV and use this for the stretching activities as well as the strength training has also been really useful (over trying to peer up at the screen on the bike).

It works and the build quality is top-notch
As an owner of the Peloton Tread, the Guide seemed a no-brainer. I'm already paying the monthly membership which includes the Guide content and so I saw this as a way of maximising the value of my membership (it also helped that the guide was on offer for £175). Initial out-of-box impressions of the build quality were very good - this thing's no Meta Portal, it's wonderfully boxed, it's hefty and solid, rubberised at points, has a lovely material finish around the outside. It's a premium product. If I had any criticism, it's that the controller buttons are a little squishy for my liking and that it's clearly not designed to sit on-top of your TV but at the base only. After seeing YouTube reviews from 2022/23, I wasn't sure what to expect, most criticised were the setup process and the accuracy of the rep counting. I'm happy to report that the setup process was as smooth as butter and clearly updated/improved from the process reviewed in 22. Neither me nor my partner had any initial confusion in how to use the device and it was all fairly straight forward. The process took around 10-15 minutes, most of which was waiting for the initial updates to download and install. I am also yet to run into any issues with rep counting. During one exercise I wasn't paying attention and kept doing the prior movements, it immediately stopped counting reps until I corrected myself and in another instance, I was performing the right exercise but with the wrong leg motions and it had no problem picking up on this either. I did find it a little slow to respond to me no-longer performing planks, but respond it did. I have yet to try with weights. I've found the class experience really satisfying, all the information I want to see is present (what's coming up, heart rate zones, calories burned, reps etc) and the classes are easy to follow and engaging. I especially find it helpful when instructors prepare you for what's to come during your cooldowns as I'm unfamiliar with some of the exercises. Features like auto-planning and stacking actually make a lot more sense on the Guide than the Tread too - put another way, there are some features on the Tread that don't seem specifically designed for treadmill use, but that wasn't the case at all on the guide. Top-notch product - I'm impressed. I noted the 1 star review from Brett24242 - they're indeed correct in that you're only allowed one Peloton Guide per membership, but I wished to clarify that you can have one of every Peloton device per membership (so for £39 a month you receive a full family membership covering the Tread, Bike and Guide) and that a Guide membership on its own would cost £24 not £39. Things from my setup that may help anyone having issues: - I'm wearing black contrasting gym gear. - The room is well lit. - There's just a plain white sofa in my background. - I'm fairly up close (I think more than I'm supposed to be). - I'm using the camera from my TV stand, not on-top of the TV (it warns you if your angle is too steep, however). - I have the camera facing me directly, even though it means it and me are slightly off-angle to the TV.

Great fitness tech
Having played games since I was very young, I love things that are a bit gamified. I was struggling with motivation to workout at home but this is perfect for me - structured classes with some great instructors and the tracking system works well.

Great device but not if you want a second one
Purchased first guide a few months ago. Works great and I wanted one for another room. But would have to pay another £39 a month to use it under the same membership!!! Great buisness sense Peloton discouraging customers from purchasing your products. Shall be returning

Good when it works
It’s alright when it works. We’ve had a few issues with it which are generally resolved after a bit of tinkering, but I get the impression that the Guide is not the most reliable of Peloton products.
