Nutrition Birthday Cake Protein Bars, 20g Protein, 1g Sugar, 4g Net Carbs, Gluten Free, Keto Friendly, 12 Count

NOTE: This is the second of three flavors that I have tried. The review is relatively the same with adjustments made for flavor. I work out 4-5 days per week and often struggle with getting enough protein in my diet. These bars were highly recommended and have turned out to be quite helpful. I have tried several varieties , and these truly taste like birthday cake. They are delicious, creamy, cake-like, and very sweet.. Eaten with a glass of milk they are quite filling; I always feel as if I have had a special treat! I often use them as an afternoon or evening snack and take them with me when I travel. Actually I keep one or two in my car just in case. They are convenient, individually wrapped, and quick and easy. Increasing other sources of protein in my diet, snacking on these bars, and continuing my workout regimen, my muscle mass has continued to develop along with improvement in my strength and stamina (I am over 70 years old). One thing alone has not been responsible, but the overall increase in the amount of protein in my diet has been aided by the addition of these protein bars. The only problem I have with them is keeping my non-exercising husband from eating them! Give them a try; I don't think you will be disappointed. Delicious! I love the flavor and the texture. I don’t think it’s too sweet like other people commented. I mean, it’s birthday cake. I would buy again. Expensive, but delicious.

These maybe aren’t the tastiest bars I’ve had, but they are still my preference (birthday cake flavor). They taste pretty good and have a really nice soft texture. They pack a lot of fiber and protein into a relatively small amount of calories. They’re perfect for filling out your macros while sticking to a strict calorie deficit. Also good when you need some quick energy on the go. Recommend.

I'm a sweet treat kinda person, birthday cake - big fan. However, this does't really taste like birthday cake. It tastes like cardboard trying to taste like birthday cake. All in all, it's a protein bar, so noone *really* expects it to taste like birthday cake. They're good value, macros are great, the serving is filling, the taste is okay; pleasant but not wow, and texture is protein bar - IYKYK. They were also packed well, and arrived in good condition. I'm happy with my purchase and would def buy again.

Something about the idea of "birthday cake flavor" really activates my neurons, so much so that I've undertaken a side quest to determine the best tasting birthday cake flavored/branded bar, and to my surprise, it's this one. I say surprise because I had a quest bar variety pack a while ago and all the normal quest bar flavors in there were kinda mid. Best protein/calorie ratio of any brand besides David though. But yeah I've tried the birthday cake flavor from: Rule 1/Bar 1, One, Pure Protein, Barebell, David ('cake batter' technically), and Quests crispy birthday cake bar, but this one right here seems to be the goat. Lacks the chemical taste birthday cake flavoring seems to have sometimes (also tried birthday cake extract/flavoring which had those chemy vibes), the Pure Protein and Bar1 birthday cake bars suffer from that pretty significantly and barebells flavor to a lesser extent. The interior of this bar is soft and moist in a way reminiscent of what you'd expect from something cake-y, and the white-chocolate (or whatever it actually is) coating is pretty good and not weird as well. The runners up are probably the Quest Crunch Birthday Cake bar in a close second place, and Ones take in 3rd. The barebell one is worth at least trying if you're really into the birthday cake flavor idea. The rest are kind of trash tbh (respect to David for the great macros though, I would get those more if I wasn't poor lol. And Pure Proteins salted caramel is one of my favorite things to eat period so not trashing the other brands in general here). Essentially, if you seek a good birthday cake flavored bar, you need look no further (unless you have a thing for rice crispy treats or that kinda vibe, then definitely try the Quest Crispy Birthday Cake bar as well. Maybe the Bar 1 bar as well, was like a big rice crispy treat but flavor was slightly questionable, not too bad though.)

I love, love, love these bars! I've been doing Keto for several months, and every now and again I have a hankering for something sweet. These hit the spot! The protean to fat ratio means you have to compensate by eating something else with more fat, so can't go hog wild with these, but these are the best tasting and closest dietary option out of many I have tried. They don't contain maltitol either which is basically just sugar in disguise. I first discovered these at a gas station. Buying them in a pack like this is about half the cost, but they are still pretty pricey. Birthday Cake is my favorite flavor. Cookies and Cream is also pretty good, but a far 2nd. The other flavors are just meh. A note to the seller: I've ordered the 12ct bar pack from you twice. The first time it with an ice pack that kept the bars nice and cool. However, the most recent pack came without ice and was unfortunately left out in the sun for a few hours, so the bars were all mushy. This is especially an issue with the "frosting" layer on this flavor which essentially liquified and stuck to the wrapper rather than the bar. PLEASE make sure you always ship THIS FLAVOR with an ice pack. I wanted to return the last order, but I just couldn't resist eating them -- they are that good!!!
