Q: How many velcro attachments does this hat have besides the front one?

It has velcro in three places. The velcro on the front for flag sized patches, a small square on top and a piece large enough for a name tape on the back.

Q: I have a pretty big nugget, in a fitted hat i wear a 7 5/8... does this hat run big or small?

You will be good for sure...hat runs big. I have a 7 3/8 coconut and it has a ton of room left to go up in size. Good quality hat as well. Thick material, if you're looking for a hat to use iN hot weather this is probably not it but just the same it is a good quality hat all the way around.you will not be disappointed

Q: Does it seem like you could cut the velcro off and leave the pattern? I'm not into patches.

I'm not a fan of patches myself so removed my own and tested to see if the velcro can be removed.Looks fine other than the little holes, which are not easily seen whilst being worn. Now I'll wear this more often.Took a couple photos with light behind it to show the holes and threw it up on Imgur. I didn't remove the top velcro patch.http://imgur.com/a/1kXbh
