Closed back headphones will never actually feel cool. These pads are definitely an improvement over OEM in the sweat and comfort department. They fit more easily over my thick framed glasses without pain. My ears don't sweat in these, but they're still hot. These pads do not seal as well as OEM, so there's going to be more bleed of noise to and from the outside - which will reduce sound quality from like a 5 to a 4 -4.5.These are a tradeoff, and I find it a worthwhile one for the increased time period I can comfortably wear my Audeze Penrose without sweating or my glasses digging into my head and giving me a headache.

1 star deducted for an oversight on the Left earcup - the earcups are marked L and R via the cloth inside the earpad and, ideally, the letter being right side up indicates which side is "Up"; however, the Left earcup had an upside down L which was only evident after it didn't go on as easily as the Right earcup.Things are easily identified as being amiss as the actual bottom of the plastic mount is "thicker" in width than the top but another user might not notice this difference at first as, when mounted wrong, it 'fits' but doesn't clip in fully at the bottom.After the Left earcup was installed properly, all was well and this is way more comfortable than the stock earcups which used to get sweaty after long wearing sessions.Also glad that Wicked Cushions chose to create a direct replacement as I did do the 'Technie' method of slipping on Steelseries WC pads on the stock mounting bracket, but that labourious method did not fit as well, nor look as good, as this set.

I have tiny flat ears and this just fits so perfectly. My hearing is not that sophisticated to hear the difference between original ones and those. But for me the replacement ones are so much more comfortable. Even holes are shaped exactly as my ear shape. As if it was custom made for me. Hope it lasts longer then originals :)
