Would a medium work or is large better?** A: Hey Amanda, I would definitely go with the larger. I'm about 175 and wear a 10 size jeans and I bought a large. The large fits we comfortably, I couldn't imagine trying to squeeze into a medium. Remember you want to be comfortable in it and not struggle to get it on and off. In my opinion, go with the large. I would actually look into an XL if I were you. If it doesn't fit you can always exchange. **Q: What does MD mean?** A: I bought the MD ..i figured it was medium and I weigh 142# and am about 5'5"...and it fit great- goes all the way to my bra and getting it on is a bit of a struggle, but if you don't scrunch it up like putting on hose, just slowly pull up sections of it at a time it goes on just a bit easier. once on it is very comfortable - it does not make those bulges disappear, but it controls them and makes you look firmer. I am pleased with my purchase. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love these a must buy *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 1 August 2024* I am glad I took a chance on these spanx as they are fantastic as some reviews were putting me off ! Mine had the silicone band to help hold them up and they did not roll. I wore them for my recent hen night under my dress and I had no issues at all. I wear a size 18 in jeans and I ordered the xl size and they gave a good shape and pulled me in. Very comfortable to wear all day and a great price also so if you are in two minds take a chance on them. I’m getting another pair so i have a couple of pairs for my honeymoon for dresses! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Spanx *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 14 October 2018* These were good spanx and did the job of stream lining my mum tum. I read on other reviews that they roll down and this is true. I've had other spanx that have a plastic - almost sticky band at the top that prevents this but these didn't. It's okay if you can tuck them under your bra as that keeps them up but if wearing without a bra I think they would cause problems. I am 5'1 so these were a little long for my torso but that is the same for most control underwear i have found. Some other reviewers said that they got a 'double bum' in these so I was worried as I am pear shaped but I wore mine with a fitted satin dress and didn't find this to be the case. I would usually buy medium in clothes but I bought a small in these as I've done before with spanx and they were fine - once I'd squeezed in! ### ⭐ Poor quality fabric - ripped after 4th wear!! *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 9 December 2019* I wish I'd read the reviews first, before buying these! On my 4th time wearing them last week, I ended up with a rip / hole in the material as I pulled them on. This is very disappointing for Spanx, considering the price you pay for them! My previous pair of Spanx have endured several years of countless use and are only just falling apart - definitely much stronger fabric used several years ago. I only got this new pair, as my last pair was starting to fall apart. I'm left feeling frustrated, as I've also recently ordered a 2nd pair of this style, this time in the Nude colour, directly from the Seller's website. I've not yet worn them and now I'm wondering if this second pair will end up ripping as well. Otherwise fit, tummy control etc seems fine. Will definitely reconsider buying from the Spanx brand in the future! ## Frequently Bought Together - SPANXsculpt Seamless Power High-Waisted Brief - Lightweight All-Day Comfort - Core Control Shapewear - High-Waisted Underwear - SPANXsculpt Seamless Power High-Waisted Shorty - For All Hemline Lengths - Core Control Shapewear - Seamless Underwear - SPANX womens Shapewear for Women Oncore High-waisted Mid-thigh Short --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.vn/products/49020253-spanx-womens-spanx-higher-power-panties-panties](https://www.desertcart.vn/products/49020253-spanx-womens-spanx-higher-power-panties-panties) --- *Product available on Desertcart Vietnam* *Store origin: VN* *Last updated: 2026-11-07*
