The Samsung 990 PRO 4TB with the built-in heatsink was a huge storage upgrade in my Rog Xbox Ally X. Installation was simple, and the heatsink fits perfectly without blocking anything in the motherboard. Performance-wise, this SSD is extremely fast. I considered using a microSD card instead of this but the the microSD card won’t support AAA games. With this SSD card I have installed multiple AAA games and still have storage room for installing future games. Extremely happy with the investment. The best part is the temperature control. Thanks to the built-in heatsink, the drive stays cool even during long gaming sessions. I haven’t had any thermal throttling or drops in speed. If you need lots of space and top performance for gaming handheld Rog Xbox Ally X—this SSD is definitely worth it. It’s one of the best upgrades. I bought this for my PlayStation 5 to expand the internal memory. I have been struggling with storage space and was constantly having o try and decide what to remove from my console so I could add another game. I did a fair amount of research and this was one of the more prominently suggested brands to go with. It’s not the cheapest in price but then when compared to others for memory size and speed it is fairly priced with great speed. I don’t get any lag when playing games that are stored on it. It was very easy to install and didn’t require any additional hardware or tools to install. A straight forward m.2 plug in with a single screw. As a solid state drive it makes absolutely no noise when used. Compatible with PS5 internal storage bay. Allows me to more than triple my internal storage for games. A must buy for those who want a nice selection of games installed.

Installed this SSD in my PS5 and it just works exactly as advertised. Physical install took literally 3-4 minutes (unscrew the cover, slot it in, screw it down). No issues at all. Samsung for the win! A great SSD that's fast, performs awesome and plenty of storage. Got this for my PC and it was easy to physically install and pretty simple to set it up with disk management. Everything flies with this: games, file transfers, videos, programs, etc. The specs look great and the heatsink does a good job keeping it cool. This is my second Samsung as they do not disappoint with performance. Great value! Just check to make sure your motherboard can use it and if so, you won't be disappointed!

Best Heatsink SSD on the market! Blazing fast, easy to install, great value (at the time i purchased it, it was great value), good quality, good heat management, etc. I added this bad boy to my Asus TUF gaming laptop and it works like a charm!

This drive works perfectly, a second Samsung 990 SSD, to serve as /home partition in my Dell XPS-15 laptop. I like nothing better in Linux than physical separation of the /home partition. The best, 8 TB total storage on a laptop, no heat issues, very fast. I am set for years.

This SSD is phenomenal. I use pair of such drives in a Proxmox home server to keep VM images. Both drives are connected via PCIe card to the motherboard. The SSD demonstrates high throughput, very low latency and very good stability _after_ applying the latest firmware update that has been release last fall 2025. Heatsink works well and never seen drives overheating even after high workload.
