If you are patient and careful then it is easy to apply and reapply, just use loads of the slip spray as per the instructions. I started to peel off the top on one side and then peeled it downwards slowly, smoothed it down as I went along. It looks fantastic and brings a day view of the world for my kitten. In the dark, when the lights are on close the blinds, you can see out if you go close up.If you cut the film to size then there is no trimming required which is where you can easily mess up, so if in doubt cut a little bit more rather than less. The d fix tool is at BM for £3.50 and is very handy but a bank card and Stanley knife will do the trick to.I will be purchasing more for other windows.

Works as expected. Can't see from outside and easy to install. Only downside is that the light coming in has a hint of blue. Would prefer that it was more natural.

We live in a 2 bed apartment that has a south-westerly bay window (in photo) that unfortunately doesn’t open. This film has been absolutely amazing especially during the warmer days. Our flat went down from 28.5-29 degrees to not going above 23. The film was straight forward to put up but you will need two pairs of hands! The film also provides great privacy with it being mirrored from the outside and doesn’t impact much on the view!

I’ve just put this onto my cabin windows in the back garden. I must admit I was a little unsure how easy, or difficult, this would be to put up. It was easy. I read all the reviews, etc, and wasn’t looking forward to this but if you look at the instructions, take plenty of time, plenty of soapy spray, you honestly shouldn’t have a problem.I bought for the windows first to see what it would look like so I’m away to order more for the doors.Complete privacy and takes the glare off the sun so very happy all round.

It was okay to install, a bit fiddly but just took my time and it worked out fine. It's very reflective so provides great privacy from outdoors in daytime, even on my north-facing windows on a cloudy day. It noticeably decreases the light getting in through the window - it's darker than, say, a net curtain. But the benefit is that you can still see out of the window clearly.As others have said, it obviously doesn't work at night. The film is just a reflective surface which will act like a mirror on whichever side is brighter. During the day, it's brighter outside so it works as a privacy film. At night (with lights on) it's brighter inside so the window will appear reflective from indoors and have no privacy from outdoors.The one star is because it is awful to remove - it left glue residue all over the windows that's very difficult to clean off. I tried isporopyl alcohol, 'Sticy Stuff Remover', and heptane with no success. Acetone seems to dissolve it but it still takes a lot of polishing and scraping to clean it off completely.

As everyone has said, it is a bit of a faff to get it on but if you carefully follow instructions it does go on well. Suggest if doing several windows start with the least noticeable as you will get better after the first one! Note that the inside of the roll is the backing sheet so you can draw line on that to cut along.The result looks great from a distance as the photos shows. And from in the room you can see out and do get just slightly dimmed light through into the room, which is good.Issue for us is that we wanted to stop anyone wandering round our shed being able to look through the window to see what we store. Unfortunately when you put your face close to the window you can easily see inside. Did partly solve this by adding a second layer on top of the first layer which helped, but will now check whether anyone offers more of a blocking.

I actually bought my roll of this 5 years ago when I first moved into our new flat, but I've only just got around to fitting it due to the neighbours across from me being home all day now.All you need is soapy water, a decent ruler/measure and a good pair of scissors. If you have access to a paper guillotine then that might help with the cutting.These type of things are a bit fiddly to measure, cut & fit but I think the more time you are willing to spend preparing the surface & sizing it up properly, the better results you'll get. If you're not bothered about it being perfect, you'll probably have it installed in a few minutes.Good value and good results.

I like the fact that neighbours opposite me cannot see though windows but only at night they can so the blinds go down close to dark. It had loads of bubbles after applying looked awful dispite smoothing down, but I must say the bubbles are clearing up, you have to give it a few weeks, it will go, I still have some but it seems to be going I’ve had them up about 3 weeks and it’s looking much much better.
