The needles are short so don’t penetrate too deep but they can puncture the skin, which they are meant to. It’s not painful but does give a strange tingling sensation when you wheel it across sensitive areas of skin. So it takes a few goes to get use to and feel completely comfortable with it.I should say I’m needle phobic and have to take high doses of diazepam when needing to have an injection, but this USNaturals Best Derma Roller 0.5mm+, despite having over 500 needles didn’t phase me or worry me.
